Beautiful rooms. Staff lovely and so helpful - we were leaving early and they gave us pack up breakfast bags. Great evening meal too.
No aircon! And it was a boiling hot day and evening.
The staff were helpful and friendly, the premises were smart and well maintained, our room was comfortable with extra fans (during heatwave) and we were made to feel very welcome. The breakfast was excellent and with the Midday checkout time we were able to spend a relaxing morning before vacating our room..
Just a note for guests with mobility problems. The hotel is in an old building with no ground floor bedrooms and steep stairs up to the rooms. Further, the car park is on a slope, and when parking in the lower spaces, access to the bar/hotel entrance is via a steep flight of stone steps. However, there are blue badge and other spaces at the top of the car park which allow access to the hotel via a ramp and a much shorter flight of steps.There is also a rear car park at hotel level but with a longer walk to the hotel/bar entrance.
Staff. My room (8) was very comfortable but had no fan, in a record heatwave. The Wifi is rubbish. It's also a bit odd, now, not being able to access the groubd floor before 08.00.

No air con and windows that didn’t open. Poorly presented breakfast. No mini fridge.

Central location and close to town. Plenty of parking and lovely rooms . Decor was very good . The morning breakfast was great and the female host was excellent . Also the evening young man was very good to . Had a great room .
The only thing that let it down was I could not get hot water in the two days I was there . I didn’t make a fuss as the weather was very very hot during the heatwave .

Good food in the restaurant and friendly staff, modern decor but not to a great standard in the bedrooms we stayed in. Tried to help with hot weather by providing fans but left 10.5 tog duvets on the beds!
Room 2 windows don't open- apparently they have been painted shut so no fresh air in the room which was also very dusty.
45min wait for breakfast from order to delivery to the table - then one slice of toast with 2 poached eggs is not much for the price.
