One of the nicest hotel experiences I’ve ever had……ever. They deserve their success.
Pros:

This wonderful family run hotel has caring and attentive staff who made me feel welcome from arriving through to checkout. A generous comfortable room, spotlessly clean with large warm towels in the big bathroom. The hotel is in a quiet country location with views over fields to the hills. A pair of binoculars in every room to spot the deer. Parking right outside. Don’t bother booking anywhere else to eat nearby as the restaurant dished up a fabulous meal at a very reasonable price with drinks from the bar and local ice cream to finish. Breakfast was hugely enjoyable and huge. A proper Scottish breakfast with haggis. Having paid a similar amount for a small mediocre room in Fort Augustus ( a rip-off!), this hotel offered genuine service, comfort , and value for money. Nothing was too much trouble for the very attentive staff. Thank you for a memorable stay. I will definitely return.

Cons:

Nothing at all was wrong with this Lodge hotel. A really international crowd was staying on the night I was there and you can see why it’s so popular on the NC500 tour.
