Ideal for an overnight stay
The outside of hotel looked very grim
The hotel is central to all shops and close by to Loch Leven.
The room was very clean, walk in shower, plenty of cupboard and drawer space.
The bed was very comfortable with a couple of pillows & dress cushions which was great for watching a bit of Tv.
Smart Tv and directly opposite the end pod the bed so no sore neck!
We were pre warned that the hotel is undergoing renovations and therefore tradesmen would be working during the day. This wasn’t a problem and I’m sure once the works are completed that the hotel will look great!
The room was clean and bed was comfortable
Most of the building was a building site. There was no heating and it was cold
Dear Sir,
I stayed at your hotel last night and am registering this as a complaint.
I was extremely disappointed at the state of the entrance, but more particularly with the room. The entrance was a mess with workmen busy on the ground floor to the right, their vans almost blocking the access. A very unwelcoming state, and no directions as to where the accommodation was. There was no mention of this when I booked.
The room was very cold with the window open, which could not be closed due to some cable attachment at the bottom to prevent it from opening too far. I turned the radiator on when I left to go out. When I got back in the evening there was no heat in the radiator. I then discovered firstly that there was no plug for the hand basin. Then even worse, despite running the tap and shower no hot water ever came. To get warm in bed I had to add the duvet from the other single bed. And then a minor niggle - no waste wrapper/teabag bin under the counter where the makings and kettle are.
I have never spent a night like it in a hotel before and it wasn't helped at all by the low temperatures we are now having.
I believe I am due a 50% refund for such terrible service.
I look forward to receiving your repayment.
Thank you,
Regards
D.L.Petrie
Clean, freshly decorated and carpeted twin bedroom with ensuite with tea and coffee facilities.Comfortable beds and warm.
For the price it was a great deal and fix for us in Kinross at a Green Hotel gig.
Building/renovation work had started downstairs but that wasn’t a problem.
The room was lovely and very comfortable, and although it was not en suite, the bathroom was right next door, so that wasn't a problem. The key pad entry system worked well.
The hotel itself looks very run down, with a gutted bar on the ground floor, which looked very sad. Also, there appeared to be no staff anywhere and no food of any sort available.
Clean and no key access
Quite a few spiders in the room if you open the windows
Nothing
Infested with flies, nobody on site to assist, large areas under construction with materials lying everywhere.
Complained to booking.com as nobody present at the property and received nothing back.
Avoid this place like the plague… seriously.
Nothing
There was ample car park space but they restricted me.
Electronic key was broken, Manual did work eventually.
Old run down room and property. smelly carpets.
No hot water at all.
The location and the bed was comfortable.
The actual place was a disgrace. The entrance was dirty and shabby, and everything was in need of a good clean! The room was cold, husband went for a shower and there was no hot water! The door of the toilet was literally hanging off. The tv didn't work, and neither did the bedside lamp! We thought it was because it wasn't plugged in, but even when we plugged it in, it still didn't work! We went out but on our return our bedroom door wouldn't lock, so we had to move the unit and place it in front of the door, just incase someone tried it and discovered it unlocked while we were asleep! The carpet in the room needed a good hoover. Most things were full of dust and in poor repair! The only good thing was the bed was clean and comfortable! On leaving, we tried to lock the bedroom door, but the keypad wouldn't work . Therefore, the door wouldn't lock! There was no one there to speak to about it as it is unmanned, so we had to just close it behind us and walk away!We have stayed in many hotels, but this was truly by far the worst ever!!
Lovely friendly helpful staff. Came to chat although it's keypad check-in.
Room seemed very light, fresh, clean and airy. However it turned out to be too light and white, when after dawn, before 5 am, bright morning light burst through the thin blinds! Although the blinds looked new, the owner said in view of our experience, they may change them. Shared bathroom was close and never a queue. Other rooms we have stayed in were en suite.
Much of hotel under renovation and not in use, including pub area. Only outdoor seating is available for communal use. There's a lovely community centre opposite, with a cafe that we always pop into. Friendly service and super value for money. Also, lots of restaurants, cafes and take aways, nearby. I recommend the Indian restaurant for sit-in and for take-away: fish n chips from Central chippie. Kirkland and Muir Inn do excellent meals. Sometimes best to book hotel meals.
Beds comfy
Very noisy plumbing. Noisy neighbours upstairs throughout the night
The location was great and the rooms were very clean. The facilities were good. It was nice to have a sink in the room in addition to the shared bathroom.
The walls were very thin so we could hear people in other rooms late at night. The entrance yard wasn't very welcoming and could do with a light for when you arrive at night.
