Breakfast you class
Very comfortable and relaxing hotel. Quiet and great location. Welcoming and professional service. Excellent food and room was comfortable, well decorated and spacious
Nothing
Staff all so helpful and friendly was a lovely atmosphere in the hotel.
Our room was very comfortable , my only criticism would be the shower , needs attention so new grouting round base and cleaning in joints of shower door was dirty and these would take a short amount of time to address . Suggest a housekeeper/manager to go round and check as will bring up to a better standard
An excellent room spacious and well equipped - the hotel was quiet when we stayed and so we we were upgraded to a lovely room. Breakfast was good. Charming grounds and outside space.
No restaurant or bar on the Monday and the meal on Tuesday was a little disappointing.
In a quiet location. The bathroom was beautifully decorated. Great breakfast with awesome service from the staff. The bar staff friendly and accommodating.
Unwelcome arrival by the lady who checked us in and came across rude both times we engaged with her which is such a shame as the rest of the staff were amazing including the cleaner. The standard room receiving offered was average and didn’t really match the standard of the bathroom. No free water available in the room that could find. The lounge area was nice once it became available as need to do some work for our business. Otherwise there was an event on at the time of arrival that took up the entire area and no seating available for staying guests to lounge and part take in a drink or two. Had to walk though the crowded room to access the stairwell to get to the room which was very uncomfortable.
We had an excellent overnight stay but had three minor criticisms. The room was cold late afternoon when we arrived, my guess is that the heating was not turned on until after 18:00 hours. My wife’s evening meal was excellent, mine however was very poor, I had steak which was more fat and gristle than meat, if I was to go again I would avoid the steak. Finally the tv would not work, again a minor point but I think the batteries in the remote needed replacing.
Clean and spacious
Very well appointed rooms with high quality sheets and fittings.
Room was spotlessly clean and the bathroom enormous, almost as big as the main bedroom.
It was beautiful… like a scene out of Bridgerton. Felt like I was in the countryside and not Plymouth at all. Bed was super comfy, loved the freestanding bathtub and the bar area was lit with warm lighting so it felt super cozy and welcoming.
Sad that the restaurant was closed for our stay but that’s on us for staying on a Sunday so not really a negative.
Lovely room and staff
No complaints
Full English Breakfast cooked to order, We had dinner on all three nights, very good choice on menu, well cooked and presented. Our room was large and warm with a good view of the garden, Large bathroom with rolled top bath and large shower.
Leaving for Home, It is certainly a stay to remember, we will return,
