A good location to access Glasgow.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room we were provided on the first night of our stay was very disappointing. When we raised the issue with the staff they kindly found us a much better room for nights 2 and 3.
Friendly staff, clean and luxurious rooms
Nothing
Nice spot to stop after a long cycle
Hotel is in a very good location so it is easy to visit surrounding areas. The hotel has large gardens that are well maintained. We did not have breakfast, we did have dinner and the food and service was good. The room was a good size.
The room was an upgrade from the standard room we had booked. We were disappointed with the upgrade to a supposed better room. The view from the window was of the air conditioners. The area was a mess. The windows handles were broken and in the very hot weather at this time we had a radiator that I could turn down but couldn't turn off.
Great location
Nothing
Location
Room very warm, no fan
Movement of lorries all night as road was being resurfaced very noisy
Forgot to lift hair tongs when I left, but no one could find them even though they were in room one next to the mirror
Me and my fiancée like the gardens and restaurant
Location and staff
Decor and rooms dated.
The staff were absolutely lovely and the food excellent.
Our bedroom was a little tired, not very big and directly above a noisy gym.
Ideal for a wedding reception we were going to, about 20 mins by car
The staff were lovely and the decor within the hotel was really nice...inviting and comfortable.
I enjoyed the cooked breakfast (the staff jokingly gasped with shock when I declined the haggis 😆) You pay extra for breakfasts which includes a hot breakfast, meat or meat free, cereal, yoghurt, juice, tea and coffee. Quite basic but it set us up for the day.
Plenty of parking spaces.
Not so much dislikes but more a few things to bear in mind.
Our room was very warm when we arrived, couldn't really be helped with the weather in the UK at the time. The rooms aren't air conditioned but there was a fan in the wardrobe.
Just beware of some steps throughout the building...it's an old building, built in 1882. Some of the flooring is slightly different levels.
The food, staff and rooms was all really good. the maintenance guy John who was always happy to help.
Definitely be coming back, the gym is probably one of the best gyms in a hotel I have been in with everything you need.
Very clean and spacious room. Member of staff called a taxi fir us and were nice to speak to. Nkthing was a problem..
Everything was good
Staff were lovely, food was nice, was in a nice location and room was large and comfortable.
The toilet sink was very slow to empty and the light in the bathroom was dull...
