Location was perfect

Little bit tired decor and room wise
Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it. The room is generally clean. The water heater for the shower warms up fast. The location is good for hiking in the peak district. Breakfast wasn't the best but it is good value and I enjoyed it. I liked the mirror behind the bed, and there is a full body mirror on the door. Amenities were all provided: towels, pillows, shampoo and soap, hair dryer, coffee and tea, kettle.
There is a TV but the light from the chandelier makes it hard to see what's on the screen. Should just change it to normal ceiling light. There are some lights in the bathroom that don't work. The shower drain is clogged and water drains really slowly. There are some dust in the crevices and the paint on the ceiling and walls were peeling. The bathroom ceiling had some mold.
Breakfast was excellent, location great and it's always good to have parking, had trouble with the shower but we reported this so hopefully it will be sorted for the next person. Room was lovely, it had an extra fan if needed.

Lovely lady serving breakfast one morning, she was sadly missed the next day…
A little shabby, and blimey the pub noise is loud at night (the pub toilets are upstairs and close to the bedrooms - lock your door, we had an occasional lost visitor..) but you expect the noise if you stay in a pub.

The room was dirty. Broken floor tiles. Curtains hanging off the tracks. Dust & cobwebs everywhere. Pubic hairs in the bed. Lumpy flat pillows

Windows were filthy & the sills covered in bird faeces.

Location was great for visiting the blue john mines. Breakfast was good and staff were very helpful and friendly.
Breakfast was amazing and plenty of choices, would definitely recommend the Derbyshire breakfast it kept us going for the day.
