Overall, an enjoyable time in Castleton.
Pros:

Breakfast was fine, staff helpful, location great.

Cons:

The decor looked a bit tired and there were a few things not checked in bedroom eg light bulbs out in bathroom, no air conditioning and one day room not cleaned properly. Bar food was tasty however the presentation of evening meal could be better.

Others have said it, location is AMAZING.
Pros:

The location was the best, you step out the door and are basically already hiking. We went to the top of Mam Tor from here, and also to Win Hill. The scenery is spectacular and Castelton is a very pretty village with much more amenities than we expected.

Cons:

Nothing. Everything was good.

Castleton gig stay
Pros:

The room we stayed in was large,clean and comfortable with a four poster bed and large onsuite. The room had everything we needed for our stay

The 2nd floor room was hot however a fan was provided and this is our only negative.
