Pros:

Very good value for money and food is lovely...both evening food and breakfast. Perfect location for walks. Staff are friendly.

Cons:

Rooms could do with updating.
We had a towel rail opposite toilet which didn't leave much room to sit!!

Pros:

Perfect location and amazing breakfast. Not a huge range of options for the continental breakfast as compared to others but hot breakfast more than make up for it. However friendly and helpful staff and despite all the negatives I have written, I will happily come back and stay again!

Cons:

It is definitely an old property and quite close to the road so ongoing noise from traffic is a thing. Some parts are old and maybe a bit dusty like the windowsills, ?towel rack that had broken and now just missing and the cobweb off the chandelier.

Excellent location to explore the Peaks around Castleton
Pros:

Lovely old pub in the middle of Castelton. Perfect location for lots of walks. We were given a spacious and light room at the top floor of the building. The bathroom was newly re-done and super comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food at lunch was abundant and very good, including the desserts (delicious). The pub itself has a great vibe and atmosphere.

Cons:

- With the warm weather we had to keep the windows open and the room, which fronted the main road, could get noisy. The bed for the children was a bit small (a larger sofa-bed would improve the stay for a family of 4). The quality of the breakfast could be improved.

Definitely recommend
Pros:

Fantastic location for all the local hikes and things to do. The breakfast provided was absolutely brilliant, cooked fresh on demand and the sausages were delicious. A little spooky right next the graveyard but cool to stay in such an old property, the views from our room were just fantastic.

Breakfast was very good. The bar had a good atmosphere. Good sized room and comfortable bed. Location is great, both the town of Castleton itself, and close proximity to other places in the Peak District

Cons:

Parking was OK, the dedicated car park was full so had to use street parking.
