Very good breakfast.
Superb location on the cliffs of Pegwell Bay
Close to the main roads west and south, so well placed for exploring east Kent
Although a bit tired (which is expected for an old building like this) our room and the common space we were passing through were absolutely meticulously clean!
The breakfast was absolutely delicious - there was a healthy fruits/yogurt/cereal options, as well as a proper English breakfast, made to order!
Even more - our bed was soft and comfortable; complimentary biscuits, teas and coffees (decaf option as well); the shower was spotless and with plenty of hot water; there were enough toiletries; there were enough parking spaces and parking was easy; staff was helpful; the hotel felt very secure (unlocking three doors before reaching our room)…
There were just two pubs nearby and they closed at 10:30-11pm on Saturday - nothing else in a walking distance.

This hotel was actually better than expected! ALL staff were very helpful and friendly, room was comfortable - and both dinner and breakfast was outstanding. All food tasty & fresh.
About 20-mins walk to the Harbour, but no big deal as it's mostly along the seafront
Very friendly personnel on reception. There was a fast service there and also a good one in the restaurant for breakfast. The English breakfast was lovely too! Facilities and the comfort level were also very satisfactory.
Minor quibble with the key card activating all the power in the room. Maybe I'm old school as I have no issue with switches and turning things on! I know it's all designed to be as easy as possible but that confused me a bit when I realised I needed to have the keycard in just to charge my phone too!
