Very nice traditional seaside hotel. All staff were friendly and attentive, breakfast was very good. Room was clean and we had a seaview. Only slight criticism is that the bed was too soft but I suffer with a bad back so this may not be the case for others.
Lovely old world hotel. Plenty of parking (FOC). Staff very friendly and attentive. Rooms small but quaint clean and comfortable. Rooms can become oppressively hot in the summer despite the fan. No air conditioning. Shower was powerful and refreshing. Very clean. Breakfast excellent. Couple of miles walk to Ramsgate. Nice quiet location. Great restaurant across the road. Recommended.
We liked the room nice view. Breakfast very good set us up for the day. The staff in the breakfast room mainly happy and cheerfull.
The bed would be better if it was larger.
Had a great break at the Pegwell Bay Hotel. Easy to find and plenty of parking. Nice room with a apacious bathroom and a big shower. Ate in the hotel restaurant on both nights - it’s located just across the road from the main hotel and has a fabulous decking right on the seafront. Staff were great. Only negative was that the hotel was further out from the centre of Ramsgate than we’d assumed it was, but that was our fault not the hotel’s. Actually this didn’t spoil our enjoyment one bit, although we did use Ubers to get into town and back.
Pros lovely location, friendly staff, delicious breakfast on the terrace..
Cons the beds wobbled a bit when you moved but funny enough still comfy and the seal in the shower needs looking into and the housekeeper tried to gain access before we had checked out.
We had a twin room with a sea view 306 a really lovely room. You have to use your key card to put into a slot for elecicity to the room. We joked we had a deaf ghost which wanted the the TV on loudly a few seconds after putting the key card in the slot and he loves BBC one.
Breakfast on the terrace was amazing and the friend I was with didn't want to go home.
Some bits need tweaking but service etc overides that.
A very good hotel in an excellent location for Ramsgate and Broadstairs. Part of the hotel which is across the road on the seafront is a bar and dining room on the first floor and a room for breakfast on the ground floor with outside tables if preferred. All the food served at this hotel was good and the bedrooms some with sea views were very comfortable.
Lovely location views and settings lovely
Lovely old property but needs air conditioning if possible but I would stay there again
Breakfast was amazing and so was the view from 306.
Beds were comfortable.
Room was clean.
tea and coffee facilities great.
The housekeeper tried to enter before we checked out and the water leaked from the seal of the shower.
You have to put a card in a slot for electricity when you do this the TV comes on really loud even if you put the TV on standby when you left. We joked we had a goast.
A friendly hotel in a peaceful setting. Just 1.5 miles from Ramsgate harbour.
Room was clean and comfortable. Best Lasagne that I have eaten in years.
Right next to beach
No fridge in room
Lovely hotel, quiet area, excellent breakfast.
Nothing.
Breakfast, room, bathroom
Bed (mattress a bit uneven)
Spacious and clean rooms. Well organised property. Breakfast was tasty. Staff were very friendly. Located in a quiet area around 30 minute walk from railway station.
No air conditioning (although not needed as fan provided and quiet enough to sleep with windows open)
We became aware of this hotel through a travelzoo offer but had nothing left so booked 1 night direct. Only one room left, a cosy double. Don’t mind a small room for one night however the bed was a standard 4’5 and just couldn’t sleep. Slept on floor at 3am but that’s just us. Having said that the location and food were excellent, we had a lovely evening meal and the breakfast was first class with good choice. We would like to stay again but need to pick the room earlier. Staff were very helpful but not so up to date on the history of the hotel etc. Lovely coastal walks both ways which weren’t to strenuous.
Room was well supplied with items we need/expect. Breakfast was very good as was the breakfast location and staff.
A bar in the hotel and earlier breakfast as we needed to leave early for a flight
Etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber alles da, was man braucht. Für eine Nacht vollkommen in Ordnung
Room was fine, bed was comfortable, pleased to have a shower and not a bath. Breakfast was excellent and we were looked after by friendly and helpful staff who were able to deal with our requests quickly and effectively.
The only problem we had was the heatwave, which was obviously beyond the hotel's control. The fan provided was unable to combat the heat so sleeping at night was difficult, sporadic and not totally restful.
