Room far too cold to be comfortable and no staff around to help
Cons:

Lack of staff most of the time
Room was absolutely freezing - I ended up sleeping in a jumper and a hat!

Pros:

I wasn't impressed with the breakfast. I usually have toast and a cup of tea for breakfast. Because I couldn't just choose this I had to pay £8 for tea and toast. A very small squashed single piece of toast!!! I think being able to choose and pay for exactly what I eat would be a better option. I would stay again but would not have breakfast.

Cons:

See above.

The evening meal at the Gurkha Bar was excellent with great service.
Pros:

Breakfast was the only drawback to our visit - little variety to the so-called continental breakfast while the cooked breakfast was no more than adequate - no mushrooms.

Cons:

Greater variety - the fresh fruit was so unripe as to be inedible, no bananas etc.

Pros:

Bed was comfortable and warm.

Cons:

The common parts were downright cold (it was early January), with staff going round wearing coats. Even the room was on the cool side, to the extent that we requested a stand-alone heater (quickly supplied). And the breakfast space wasn't what you'd call warm. The (Indian) restaurant was closed because apparently the staff couldn't get down from Birmingham.
