A fabulous overnight stay with great beers overlooking the most gorgeous view of the lake/ estuary and mountains. The staff were superb, dinner was great (with one caveat) and the veggie breakfast was also superb. We’ve been there before but never stayed over. The “lake view” room we had was perfect. We chatted to two women who said they eat there a lot and the food is always excellent. People were arriving for dinner quite late on Sunday night which is a real testament to the place.
Only one very small thing. We each had nut roast for dinner and it had quite a strong smoky taste to it which I didn’t like but my wife thought was ok. The rest of the meal was superb.
Exceptional room, great location and friendly, helpful staff. Great menu cooked to a very high standard.

Location, views, lovely decor, warm room, very clean, comfortable bed, all the little details, room had everything we needed. Every member of staff were polite, warm, jolly, and seemed happy in their work...it definitely shows in the atmosphere and welcome. Access to walking and cycling routes from door, genuinely dog friendly.
Great breakfast with more spectacular views and lovely warm welcome. Really didn't want to go home (that's rare!).
Ordered pork belly for dinner and veg was stone cold with hot pork on top... but staff were great, apologetic and took it straight back, out came a hot meal pretty quick. Pork then a bit chewy but rest of meal delicious. Good service, other meal was spot on so it's a forgiveable mistake and they handled it graciously.
Lovely hotel staff were brilliant. Waking up to the view was amazing .

The location is brilliant. All of the staff were first rate. The room was well appointed and the bed very comfortable.
The only negative was the heating in the room. It was far too hot during the night and the thermostat didn’t seem to work lowering the temperature.
The location and staff. We often pop in for food and when we realised they offer dog friendly accommodation we decided to book. The room was amazing, views outstanding and the staff were very accommodating.

Excellent location. Welcoming staff. High standard of room. Cleaning however on my second day,room wasn’t thoroughly enough.
Cleaning of room given I stayed 2 nights. Also reception facilities….not visibly staffed.
The booking reception call answering system never replies or call back despite requests.
Finally,the en suite bathroom design. Snug and clean. However,open the bathroom door,the door handle clatters with the glass shower panel over the bath! Worrying and a clear hazard to all.
