Really helpful staff and comfortable stay
Pros:

The friendliness of the staff and the location. The facilities in the room made the stay a comfortable one. The pub is really good too - very cosy and welcoming

Cons:

The premises seems to be unmanned by staff at night as you have to leave by a fire exit at the back of the hotel if you leave before 10.00 am

Pros:

The room was very large and in a lovely old building, great location in the town and good parking at the rear. They don't serve breakfast but there is a nice cafe a few metres away and you get a 10% discount.

Cons:

The room was good overall but the bathroom could do with a refurbishment (Johnson suite).

Noise & poor communication from staff made this a stay to forget, no sleep.
Pros:

Nothing, a bit of a cheek calling this a hotel.

Cons:

Revellers from the bar making extreme noise outside rooms until gone midnight. Locked out of hotel after going to breakfast elsewhere because staff hadn’t informed us the way to get back in when we arrived.
Unsuitable for older guests or with disabilities,steep stairs etc. The hotel old & tired, seems to cater for local young people in the bar area with no thought to hotel guests.
