Really easy parking, easy check in - friendly staff
Tv was very small and old
Was the cheapest i could find with a bath anywhere in Derby.
Floors needed a bit more vacuuming.
The accommodation was clean, quiet and comfortable.
Pre-covid I used to stay here frequently. This was our first return in around 6 years. The breakfast side of things was underwhelming. On our first day, there were no eggs/bacon/mushrooms because of a delivery failure. We ended up at the Co-op buying a bacon roll. We asked for a refund for the pre-paid breakfast but are unsure whether this was ever sorted out. The next morning, the same member of staff with whom we had dealt regarding the refund, behaved as if she had never set eyes on us before. Disappointing.
The pub was nice and staff was very friendly.

The toilet mark / strain on toilet seat but it got resolved when I complained to the stuff about it.

parking was tight bushes need trimming, TV did not seem to have sub titles, sink took time to drain
The location was key for us. We had a funeral to attend the following day. The staff tried hard to put right things which were wrong. There was no internet during our stay, which made the email later discovered about how we could check in and check out online rather ironic. The room was clean. We had everything we needed for the overnight stay. The manager tried hard to come up with a remote for the TV and removed a broken bulb in a bedside lamp. He also offered us a drink to offset the inconvenience. The staff were pleasant, kind and helpful. The breakfast item was redone on request without fuss.
The lack of internet was a big disappointment. We were told it was being reset but it was not operating during our stay.

Good location, great free parking. Also the block of rooms is a nice distance across the car park from the pub, so I couldn't hear the fun of the World Cup match, which went on late and I'm sure get very loud.
Through no fault of yours, it was the hottest night of the year so far, in the middle of a heatwave, and the windows only open an inch and a half. So, despite the fan that you'd laid on, it was impossible to get any cool air into the room. Hottest night I've spent in years, naked on top of the sheets and still baking.
This is not a problem that will recur for another 11 months, I should imagine.

That 3 hours before I was due to arrive they cancelled the booking as booking.com overbooked so not only did I have to pay to stay elsewhere they are also delaying communicating with booking.com so that I can be refunded the money I paid to stay in this hotel when it was fully booked they blamed booking.com but the lack of communication shows poor leadership skills and absolutely disgusting customer service skills
