Pros:

The Bridge is a beautiful old building. We stayed in one of their finest rooms. Lovely comfy bed. Nice hot showers. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. And the breakfast was so tasty. We booked for an overnight break and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Cons:

A couple of areas need attention. The floor.in the restaurant is lifting near the door. And one of the little windows in our bedroom was broken.

Why tell us we had been given a recently decorated upgrade to our room? Unfortunately, a very disappointing stay, issues
Pros:

The staff

Cons:

Stayed a few times previously, for some reason this stay felt totally different? We were offered a newly decorated room, an upgrade we were told, but the room was cold when we entered, no radiator on?
Not sure newly decorated or an upgrade either?
Ceiling panels a very poor fit & dirty, unusual but the bathroom had NO COLD WATER? difficult to wash or brush teeth when so hot straight from the tap.
Mirror fixing on bathroom wall, far too high? Cobwebs & spiders in the window sills.
We went a walk around the village visiting the other establishments, all full, people dining & drinking, returning to the Bridge @8.30pm, TWO GENTLEMEN in the bar? That was all? Unfortunately, a very disappointing stay.

not coming back due to such poor maintenance
Pros:

Breakfast was great , like the hotels character and location

Cons:

the hotel gust rooms suffer from a serious lack of maintenance including broken wall mounted lights, window that won't close properly and heating that doesn't work well , was left in a room that was both cold and badly lit
