Very basic, but clean and secure. Dim lighting in the rooms, but good wifi.
Pros:

Well, if you must stay in Santo Domingo, you sure don't want to pay a lot. This was a fair price. The wifi was solid. The front desk person was excellent, met me at the door and insisted on carrying my bag. If you can avoid Santo Domingo, I would. I was out exploring, I went so you don't have to. There are no good restaurants in walking distance that I could find. That's not the hotel's fault. AC worked well. Hot water in the shower was good.

Cons:

This is a noisy hotel, sound travels every time someone walks through or talks in the lobby. Just the way it is. And the room lighting is very dim, I was working on my computer, and it was hard to see the keys, the lighting was so dim. One low-watt bulb, I don't think I could have read a book with that lighting. And no desk to work on. I had to improvise using a low coffee table thing. For the price, what do you want. It's basic and not bad for a night.

The hotel seemed a little expensive for a city that had very little tourist attractiveness.
Pros:

The hotel is in the middle of a bustling market district and thus was very noisy in our streetside room in the morning. The restaurant áreas were not close and required a cab but we found good and affordable food on Venezuela Street. Espresso shops were 15 to 20 minute walk away.

Cons:

The hotel staff was friendly, but they could have provided more suggestions about how to get around the city.

Pros:

Not much, I will not be returning.

Cons:

No hot water, bugs in the bathroom, CONSTANT noise all night long, not very clean, type of blinds let light in from street. No way to rest.

Perfect for anyone who needs an economical, comfortable stay
Pros:

Nice cozy hotel in the heart of Santo Domingo. I was able to walk to the park and the Cathedral. The staff was amazing, and accommodating. This is just the right price if you are looking for a deal.

Cons:

There may have been some water damage in my room, maybe this is common in Santo Domingo with all the rain, there was a strong musty smell. It’s not necessary to pay until the end of your stay, however you will need cash and exact change.
