Die Zimmer und der Pool sind sehr gut wenn man mal ein bisschen relaxen möchte.

Das Hostel liegt sehr abgelegen, daher ist es etwas umständlich wenn man mal in die Stadt möchte. Das Essen ist ok aber dafür verhältnismäßig teuer

Pros:

Excelente ambiente, ubicación e infraestructura. Ideal para conocer nuevas personas y compartir experiencias. La atención fue muy buena, todos muy amables. Las habitaciones super cómodas y limpias.
Cuentan con restaurante y bar que tienen excelente atención y cocina.

Cons:

El menu es un poco limitado, pero lo que tienen es muy bueno y economico.

Pros:

Great hostel with an amazing pool! Loads of places to chill and it's super relaxing as it's outside of town. Room got cleaned every day, beds were super comfortable and the room was nice and spacious!

Cons:

It's a bit far out of town and food isn't the cheapest at the hostel so you might end up racking up quite a tab. When we were there the traffic was insane which made cabs more expensive!

Great stay, one of my favourite hostels!
Pros:

Located outside of the city, it was a quiet and calm spot to relax. The hostel was clean and calm and the staff were friendly and helpful. I arrived on New Year’s Eve and there was a dinner organized in the hostel, which was really nice. There’s a waterfall and viewpoint close by and it’s easy enough to get to Baños by taxi. You can also organise activities through the hotel, or relax by the pool or in a hammock!

Worse than expected - nothing like the reviews
Pros:

The private rooms were a good size. The taxi guy they used was lovely and helpful.

Cons:

The staff were very strange and the manager is clearly a bit useless. The general vibe of the place was off. Every day at around 5pm the same short playlist was played made up of music from the 2000-2010s. So the same songs were being blared out night after night.
The food from the kitchen was expensive and only just edible but not at all enjoyable.
We had an issue with the window in our bathroom not being opaque/frosted unlike other rooms, which meant we would have been visibly naked to others when showering. We had to complain several times before anything was done. Even then it wasnt fixed properly, a dirty yoga mat was taped to the window which worked for the one shower before it came down.
The benefits of the remote location away from the town were lost due to the hostel no longer offering their own bikes. We had to go back into town to hire bikes to do the waterfalls trail which is one of the main attractions in Banos.

Great place!
Pros:

Quiet, beautiful setting yet still close to Baños, Friendly staff and great food. The rooms are comfortable, and it was so nice to sit on the balcony and bird watch. I loved being able to hike up to the waterfall.

Das Hostel hat ein coolen Vibe und viele Angebote. Das Essen war ebenfalls sehr lecker.

Cons:

Das Zimmer direkt an der Bar war leider recht feucht und deutlich mit Schimmel versehen.

Seb and the rest of the staff at mama tungu where amazing during our stay, they gave us awesome recommendations and helped us with everything we needed! Facilities were perfect, can’t recommend this place enough!!!

Magnifique séjour au Mama Tungu qui m'a vraiment permis de profiter de Banos, notamment grâce à l'aide, la disponibilité et la gentillesse du personnel de l'établissement qui a pu beaucoup m'aider à organiser mes activités en faisant les réservations pour moi (rafting, zip line, vélo...), en procurant des services impeccables (nourriture faite maison, piscine/jacuzzi et propreté des chambres) et en garantissant une ambiance particulièrement chaleureuse dans l'auberge avec des soirées à thème, des attentions et un sourire toujours au rendez-vous, je recommande à 100% !!!
