Very helpful staff and fantastic food too
This is a great budget alternative to other accommodation in the same village. Facilities are basic, but functional. Landlord Nips is great, very friendly, as are other staff. Food from Gurkha Curry is superb.
Some noise from downstairs due to entertainment in the pub, but that's to be expected on a Saturday night, and it stopped well before midnight so not a massive issue.
Lovely pub. Landlord/manager really great guy
Lovely food
The rooms are good size and the management was lovely the pub is nice.
The stairs are bad for the elderly. No food available. The room was ok but the kettle and TV didn't work.
Nice size room. Good nights sleep.
Tv didn't work in room.
Good location for our purposes. Lovely owner very helpful. Nice pub. There's a corner shop practically next door for snacks and stuff.
The food option was a take out service which only opens Wednesday to Saturday.
Acceptable
Room was very warm

Quite dusty

Great find. Close to the venue we attended a wedding at. Comfortable rooms and warm welcome from staff.
Great value and dog friendly with no extra charge. Meal excellent, beer great, staff excellent, so helpful and friendly. Location good in a lovely village, locals friendly. Room pleasant and nice size. Good shower plenty of hot water. Lovely towels.
Steep stairs, having hand rail. Struggled getting our elderly dog up/down them, but with staying here before was aware of. Weather that day was very hot and with room facing south had retained the heat. Despite windows kept fully open and fan provided fully on it was so very hot overnight. The carpet felt hot as heat travelled up from rooms below. We had previously stayed in the rooms overlooking the car park, facing north. Next booking will request one. Central heating being updated?
Nothing
The Chequers Country Inn room 14 was filthy, in particular the bathroom. Very disappointing!
We wiukd gave left but Booking.com said it would be difficult getting our money back!
