Clean and tidy accommodation and the hosts were very friendly and polite.
Pros:

The hosts welcomed us on arrival, they were very friendly and polite and helped us to move our luggage to our room. The room was very clean and tidy. Parking was no problem. The other staff were also very friendly and polite.

Cons:

We were disappointed that there was no food available for guests. We had to go to another local pub for food (which was excellent). The shower was not good, only a trickle of water was produced even though it was a power shower. The noise from the bar disturbed our sleep, very noisy clientele and music. At about 3am, there was an almighty row between guests in an adjoining room which woke us (not the hosts fault, but still disappointing).

Overall it was great and will be happy to return but will bring my own shower gel!
Pros:

Good sized room. Very clean and comfortable - had a good night’s sleep.

Cons:

Soap/shampoo dispenser not working. Had to step out of the shower to use hand-soap dispenser for washing.

Booked in for 2 nights and paid up front , only stayed the one night . Booked into a Best Western for the 2nd night !!

Cons:

Unclean room , dirty toilet , thick dust everywhere and waste bin in bathroom still full of other people’s rubbish . Shower gel dispenser completely empty. Very noisy til midnight

Comfortable accommodation in quiet surroundings.
Pros:

A warm welcome as soon as we arrived from both Grant and Sean and their staff. A quiet room at the back of the premises overlooking their large spacious car park. Tasty simple evening menu. Although no breakfast is served Palmers garden centre is just down the road serving food from 09.30h and their cappucino is amazing. The Chequers is close to the A5, M69, M6 and M1 so is ideal for Midlands motoring and is in a quiet location unlike the local Travelodges and Premier Inns etc.

Cons:

Nothing to complain about that couldn't be easily solved.

Top notch stay at an affordable price. Very welcoming.
Pros:

Lovely reception thank you room was spotless, nice pint before bed would definitely stay sgain.

Cons:

The IT system had been down so they weren’t aware of my arrival, it was a last minute booking so it did not leave much time for an update. I arrived and I was welcomed and issued a room that was warm comfortable and clean.

Good location for us.
Pros:

The location worked well, for the trip. The staff went above and beyond helping with getting things for my special needs daughter.
Was given details of local food establishment and takeaway could be arranged.
