Great staff, Food was very good. In desperate need of a make over.
Pros:

Breakfast good but be specific. Toast on the side shouldn’t come buttered and soggy. Good pot of tea.
Otherwise quality ingredients. Very nice bacon. But £15:00 extra on price of room.
Staff are very friendly
Evening meal was very good. steak pie with choice of veg.
Location great

Cons:

Rooms are very dated if not a little creepy. Bathroom had no window and smelled damp.
Bed was not the best and pillows absolutely horrible. Didn’t sleep well at all
Peacocks are lovely but do make a right old racket day and night.
It really needs a makeover. Place was practically empty although lodges may have had guests as car park was full.

Wonderful
Pros:

This place is really beautiful, with a lovely atmosphere. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend it.

A place to return
Pros:

Lovely property, stayed at the luxury lodge and was very quiet (except the peacoks but you get used to their noise). Great break from busy towns and there is a little trail for small children to enjoy. 30.min drive to Eden project and Golitha waterfall.

Cons:

Matress could be more confortable.

Improve food and shower and it’s a great hotel.
Pros:

The hotel was in beautiful grounds with peacocks and other birds walking around. Staff were friendly and helpful

Cons:

The food was horrible. Me and partner both got the pasta and it was not great at all. The shower also was piping hot and no real control to put the temp down. I put it on lowest level cool and it was still unbearable to shower under

We stayed in a 2 bedroom lodge for a wedding and it was pristine we popped into a local village for provisions although we could have also eaten in the hotel as an option

Superb - Peaceful Stay, Great Location
Pros:

Had a really pleasant Easter stay here in one of their 2-bedroom cottages. It was clean, tidy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable break. The bedrooms were good-sized, with lovely decorations, and the peaceful setting made it easy to relax. Plus, it’s well located for exploring the area. Great for a quiet getaway.

Cons:

The water pressure in the bathrooms can be better. A bigger TV screen in the living room would be perfect.

Loved it. Loved meeting the owner and staff. A most welcoming atmosphere
Pros:

I booked a room with a shower.
As a walk-in hiker (Lands End to Brighton) a bath is much preferred for easing soreness.
The hotel immediately upgraded to a bath at no extra charge. I couldn’t have been more pleased

Pros:

The shower ran cold and had little power. I thought the room should have had a fridge in it for the price too. But still a wonderful night.

Cosy and comfortable, slept like a log
Pros:

I always feel safe as a female travelling on her own. I also like to put the money back into the local community rather than staying in larger chain hotels. The hotel is in need of some repairs and has a few minor things you would normally complain about in larger chains, but I'm forgiving when it comes to hotels that try their best. The team are always good and make you feel at home.

Pros:

Ottima accoglienza dello staff, disponibili a servirci una cena veloce anche se la cucina aveva già chiuso. Ottima colazione servita la mattina, tutto buono e tanta cortesia in un ambiente molto gradevole, con vista sullo splendido giardino molto curato. I locali al piano terra destinati al bar e ai pasti sono molto ben arredati, tutto curato nei dettagli, atmosfera british. La camera era poco confortevole: il materasso da sostituire. Le finestre non si aprivano, impossibile cambiare l’aria. Odore di chiuso.
