Pros:

Great location, good breakfast, comfy bed.

Cons:

The first room offered was not like the pictures, very small and tiny bathroom not room to move. They said it was a standard deluxe room. We paid extra and switched to a loft room which was much better space wise. The parking at the hotel was full so we had to park at the sister hotel a few minutes away and walk back.

beautiful views, lovely staff, delicious breakfast, cosy beds, and so much charm
Pros:

I absolutely loved everything about this place. The scenery was stunning, the staff were so kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The pool with its beautiful views was a real highlight, and the large sauna and relaxation room made it even more special.

Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and I really appreciated being allowed to take some with me. The coffee was lovely too, rich, strong, and just right. The interior design was beautiful, and the fact that the building is over 200 years old gave it so much charm and character. It truly felt like stepping back in time, with its original features so wonderfully preserved.

The beds were also incredibly cosy, making the whole stay even more relaxing. I’m very grateful for such a lovely experience and would happily return again.

Look out for a good deal! Great location and restaurant
Pros:

Beautiful hotel downstairs - lounge area, bar area all fab! Breakfast was included and was amazing, we paid for 2 course meal and the food was faultess. Our waitress who serviced us both meals is a credit to the hotel!, great sense of humour. Lovely sauna and chill room if you want to use it. Plenty of free parking at hotel

Cons:

We had booked a double deluxe room but were given a double room which looked nothing like the photo and had alot of mould around the bath, very disappointing, rang down to reception and was given a completely different room which was like the photo, but no apology from lad on reception who didnt seem particularly thrilled. Would of been nice if he had even been offered a free drink. Pool was nice but lacking showers to wash hair etc, only 1 shower by pool just to rinse.

Loved Grasmere and will certainly go back.

Convenient and wonderful views.
Nice and clean and it would have been nice to use the balcony had the weather been a bit warmer.
Breakfast good but not great.

Cons:

Needed a bit of maintenance and could have been a little warmer. Light in the wardrobe area would be good as would a few more plug sockets each side of the bed. Very poor drawers with difficult handles.Bathroom door needs adjustment and inadequate lighting for shaving.
Needed more warmth plus a heated towel rail. Car parking difficult.
Staff really nice and tried hard to please.
