Nice place good area for walking

Room service was poor it was often late the duvet was straightened and towels changed nothing else Pillows weren’t moved Basin and shower not cleaned Bedding not changed all week
Our arrival and check in was quick and easy.
Breakfast included and definately a 10/10 and I'm a fussy eater.
Staff are friendly and helpful
Facilities are grest as it's got a pool and sauna which is nice after a day walking.
Parking and dropping bags can be difficult at peak times.

Modern designed internally and in the centre of town. Swimming pool. Parking, albeit not enough. Good menu at breakfast. Water fountain.
Wifi on 3rd floor didn't work. A couple of staff members at breakfast didn't match the hotels dynamic.
Perfect location and a fabulous hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. Great restaurants and bar. We enjoyed a lovely evening meal on our first night in the Conservatory which was excellent value for money. Our breakfasts were also very good to with plenty of choice and great service.

The location was perfect. The village is beautiful and has everything you need from shops to restaurants. It's also central to almost everything in the Lake District - great for exploring.
The room exceeded expectations. Since we booked a double room we were expecting it to be a bit cramped, but were pleasantly surprised to find that it came with an attached living area. Not only did it gave us plenty of space for us and our dog, but it was comfortable which is just what you need when you're away from home!
The staff were a credit to The Inn, every interaction left us feeling cared for. They were always helpful, kind and pleasant to both me and my partner, and especially our dog who they doted on. It was our first time away in a hotel with our dog so we were worried about bringing her, but they put us at ease from the get go and treated her so well!
Another highlight for us was the pool and sauna. It was the main reason we booked the stay and they were both wonderful, especially after a long day of exploring the Lake District.
While the stay was on the pricier side of our budget, we ended up finding it great value for money. We'd definitely recommend a stay here and would happily return ourselves!
Our only real issue was a lack of Wi-Fi and signal. It could've just been our room but we did really struggle to get internet and mobile data, when we did it was very slow or would cut out. If internet access is important for you I'd recommend checking ahead of time.
I noticed some reviews mentioning the food, and while I agree it wasn't outstanding, it was still decent British pub food.
We visited when it was raining and not particularly warm yet our room on the first floor was always hot. There isn't any air conditioning but luckily we had bought a fan for our dog so this wasn't a big deal for us.
The only other thing I noticed was the bathroom water being inconsistent. The shower sometimes flicked between hot and cold, especially if someone showers after you, though it only lasted for a few seconds.
All in all though this is me nit-picking. Our stay was wonderful and the positives far outweighed the negatives for us. At the end of the day The Inn has been hosting travellers since 1769. If you expect the slight inconveniences of staying a rustic hotel, you will be pleasantly surprised!

Preis verhältnismäßig hoch, sehr touristische Gegend eben. Internet funktionierte nicht immer sehr gut.
Fijn hotel om te verblijven, ideale locatie voor de CTC-trail.
