Nestled in the heart of Bourton-on-the-Water, Chester House Hotel is family owned and combines a contemporary country style with welcoming hospitality. Guests can stay in one of the rooms or dine in the popular Italian restaurant, L'Anatra.

Please note that there are only 18 car parking spaces available and there are 22 bedrooms in the property so there is a limited amount of parking.

Kindly note the property cannot process payments from American Express credit cards, and an alternative card will be required.

I had a great stay
Pros:

Friendly staff, spacious room, good breakfast

Cons:

Sounds from the room upstairs come through rather loud, but that’s the case with all such buildings. Luckily the guests are quiet in general.

Great location
Pros:

Great location and friendly staff. Bed was comfortable with the right amount of linens. Large towels. The room was very odd shaped and had a step down, but it was on the end, which was nice. Room 19, at the top of the stairs and down a hallway. Breakfast was excellent.

Cons:

World’s smallest shower and sink.

Pros:

The hotel has a restaurant attached. We had great dinner there on the night we stayed, and their complimentary breakfast was also great.

Cons:

Bourton-on-the-water is a bit touristy. Staff service could be warmer.

Excellent hotel food and location
Pros:

Perfect location with parking right in the centre. Breakfast was lovely and plenty of it. Bedroom was above the bar so abit noisy early evening but as we were going out it didnt matter and the bar was closed when we got back. No traffic noise but it was october. Maybe in the height of summer it is different.

Cons:

There was a step just inside our room on the other side of the door. When we arrived i opening the door and before i found the light switch fell over. I could of really hurt myself. No notice saying mind the step. They appoligised and said i should of been told when checking in.

Great hotel in a prime location. Would definitely stay here again.
Pros:

Lovely and clean hotel. All the staff were very accommodating and friendly.
Breakfast was good with plenty of selection.

Cons:

Parking could be a challenge as the car park is a little tight on space but this wouldn’t put us off coming back.
