Excellent location. Friendly helpful staff. Very clean room, and well serviced. Good selection of breakfast food, served promptly. No regrets for a 5 night stay.
Evening meal "Italian restaurant " food we considered overpriced and not impressive. 10% service automatically applied to bill, but no mention of this on menu! We happily provide a good tip for good service, but resent being "press-ganged" with no warning. After one visit we found better value elsewhere for remainder of our stay.
Friendly staff, comfortable room and great location
Very welcoming and polite staff. Bar staff seemed more interested in guests dining sadly.
Lack of guest beers in the bar. Did seem bar was just to supply the restaurant and not those not eating at hotel.

The breakfast was amazing. The staff went above and beyond to welcome my partner and I as newlyweds. The hotel was close to shops, pubs, walks and food.
Uncomfortable bed. There was also a bad smell coming from either the sink / toilet or shower. We did report it and housekeeping tried to fix issue, unfortunately this didn’t help.

Staff are brilliant and a real asset to this charming hotel. Rooms are clean, comfortable and thoughfully designed. Water pressure was good and our room was quiet. The only negatives was a slightky lumpy and hardish matress that could do with replacing and a rather stingy breakfast offering which really let things down. The pastries were small and didnt taste right, for the cooked elements the eggs were well cooked and the ingrediants ok but the oj was bitter and the full english came with half a small tomato and one mushroom and only two slices of toast with no marmalades or jams. Service was great but we wouldnt come here for breakfast again.
