A perfect place to stay!
Pros:

The Merrie Lion pub itself is fantastic and the staff are so welcoming and friendly. It's an independently owned village pub with a great selection of ales/beers and from the moment you step foot in the door you can feel how much the pub cares about the local community. There's just such a nice charm and atmosphere in the pub that you don't get in many others these days. I've stayed here a few times now and I always look forward to coming back.

The rooms themselves have everything you need are so clean and tidy. The beds are super comfortable and I always feel refreshed the next morning. The rooms are situated in a separate converted barn building behind the pub so it's not noisy at all during the evenings.

I can't stress enough how good the food was throughout each of my stays. The fully cooked breakfast in the morning was the perfect way to start the day. I've stayed for dinner on a few occasions and that was just as fantastic!

It's just real gem of a pub and a fantastic place to stay!

Cons:

I enjoyed everything about my stay.

Modern, functional, superb stay.
Pros:

Excellent communication when calling prior to stay and on arrival. The rooms and building giving a feel of being clean, fresh, light, uncluttered, and solid/soundproof, well organised rooms. Great parking and loved how the keys worked.

Cons:

One window did not have a curtain which let light in very early, but cannot think of a anything else at all, it was an excellent choice.

Great food and hospitality in a village local
Pros:

Perfect location for a stop on our journey from Northampton to the British Motor Museum at Gaydon. Rooms are in a separate block to the pub, comfortable, all the usual amenities. Dinner in the pub was great - fabulous pub grub with imaginative specials. Only sorry we couldn't do it complete justice as we had eaten a massive Sunday roast the day before.. The breakfast was also superb. The staff were great, this is clearly a well functioning local business.

Cons:

No complaints

Very good snd great food
Pros:

Friendly local pub with good food and great staff

Cons:

A little bit noisy early morning with deliveries
The floor in our bathroom had smart black tiles but the effect was spoilt by white (limescale?) marks all over it which made it feel a bit grubby though I’m sure it wasn’t

A relaxing stay with a warm welcome - excellent breakfast
Pros:

The welcome from Daphne - the landlady. She was very friendly, whilst being unobtrusive. She called me by name each time she saw me and this made me feel valued as a customer.

The room was so comfortable and spacious

My breakfast was cooked to perfection

Drinks on a beautiful evening in the pub garden - just seconds from the separate bedroom annex

The location was great

Cons:

One minor issue with some stains on a chair in my room but dealt with quickly and professionally by housekeeper
