Comfortable and good pool facilities

Location is beautiful and excellent staff.

Beautiful setting overlooking the ocean, with a lovely deck with comfortable furniture and umbrellas for mealtimes and just chilling.

Staff very friendly and welcoming.Breakfast and dinner were great. Perfect location for visiting Dartmouth and Blackpool Sands.

We also enjoyed sitting on the bar terrace with the wonderful view of the sea.

This hotel should have been a solid 5 stars. The public rooms are decorated to a very high standard, and are kept spotless. Our bedroom was large enough for a huge bed, two armchairs and plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space. The bathroom was compact but had a good size walk in shower. There was also plenty of good quality toiletries. The room was kept spotless, and the towels changed often. All meals were fabulous. There was an exceptional choice at breakfast with fruits, cereals, pastries etc plus a choice of very well cooked food. Evening meals offered a choice of 4 starters, 4 mains and 4 dessert. The food was well presented and excellent every time. All the staff were brilliant- friendly and efficient.
However the outside pool looked neglected. Sunbeds had bird poo on them. The tables were dirty. Weeds were growing around the outside of the seating area, and there was a lot of detritus also. Dried leaves looked to have been there since the Autumn. I mentioned this to the lady at breakfast who said it would be passed to management. I expected something to have been done before we left, as a couple of hours work, at most, would have solved the problem. The sunbeds did look to have been cleaned as there were light patches where the bird poo had been cleaned off. Unfortunately the tables were still bad and no sweeping or weeding had been done. It was such a shame as we stayed in this hotel three years ago and the pool area was pristine. Not many hotels have pools so this is definitely a plus for patrons. Such a pity it has not been well maintained.

Excellent hotel and the staff and service were excellent. Nothing was to much trouble. The restaurant and food was excellent couldn't wish for better honestly ..you won't be disappointed.Location is great especially if you like a walk into Dartmouth highly recommend doing that

Lovely room, very peaceful atmosphere.

When we first pulled up, I just wasn’t sure of the location. Its not in Dartmouth, in fact you can walk there along a delightful coastal trail or hop on the hourly #93 bus. That being said, after our 5th night, I didn’t want to leave. The hotel is staffed by the friendliest folks, the breakfasts are really good, rooms roomy and comfortable and huge parking area. Two restaurants in the tiny hamlet of Stoke Fleming just down the path thru the woods. Excellent all the way around. It’s not in Dartmouth, it’s in a better location. Walk to the beach is a bonus. Definitely stay here again.

Lovely hotel about 10 minutes from Dartmouth.
Very pleasant surroundings, outdoor as well as indoor swimming pools, as well as gardens.
Lovely spacious room with a sea view.
Breakfast was excellent, both buffet and hot food to order. My dietary requirements were catered for very well. Nothing was too much trouble.

a beautiful setting overlooking the sea and the village of Stoke Fleming and its ancient church. it is very convenient to Dartmouth by bus/car/taxi. it has an indoor heated pool and an outdoor pool, and the terrace has some comfortable garden furniture to sit out on. The cuisine in the dining room was excellent

Fabulous star. Brilliant location. Owners delightful. Staff amazing can't do enough for you. Hotel really lovely. Terrace fantastic and meals can be served alfresco. Value for money outstanding. Can't wait to go back asap.
