Just what I needed
Pros:

Me and my partner had a rare child free night, we came across miller and carter hotel and as steak lovers we couldn’t resist. The room was beautiful, clean and had everything we needed. We went downstairs for food and we had the pleasure of meeting our waitress Melody. She was more than amazing. She made us feel like she was our friend. She looked after us and every other table she had. She went above and beyond for every table she was serving. I’ve been a waitress and I know how hard it is but she made it look easy. She’s a credit to this company. The whole experience was amazing but it’s someone like melody that make it that bit more special.

An adequate choice if staying in the area

I chose this Hotel for convenience of location to my destination. I had used it before and had a positive experience

Cons:

Reception upon arrival was rushed. First room smelt like there was an issue with the drains in the bathroom. Requested another room and one was allocated without question. However, when asked, the shift manager said that no issue had been reported by Housekeeping which I found odd as the odour was strong and windows were open on arrival, indicating that perhaps housekeeping felt a need to ventilate. The place ticks all the boxes for facilities but seems to need a little TLC

Fantastic restaurant, amazing food, great sized room sadly let down by the beds.
Pros:

Room was a very good size and the bathroom has a great shower, good hanging space and in room faculties also good. USB power points a plenty and great black out curtains kept the room nice and dark in the morning

Cons:

Main beds were way too hard for our personal taste and the pull out beds mattress was extremely uncomfortable, the quality of the linen wasn't the best. It wasn't a very warm day 20 degrees but the room even with the windows open was very warm and the small fan in there made no impact
