Stapleford is a typical commuter town. It has good bus and tram access into Nottingham, but also has plenty of shops, bars and restaurants close to the hotel. My room was a small, very clean, single room. It's great to be able to get a low-cost single room in a hotel.
The car parking is a little confusing. A sign says clamping is in operation, but there's no way to register your vehicle as belonging to a hotel guest. Staff at the adjoining offices assured me that I would be fine to leave my car. Some people may also be put off by the ground floor room window looking over the car park, as you need to draw the curtains for privacy.
Although quite a basic accommodation, its very clean and has tea and coffee making facilities. The location was ideal for our stay(cricket) and perfect for the tram P&R.

Great location & has exactly what is needed for a small stay. We had a slight problem with our towels, however staff were very responsive and straight over to help us!
Rooms are very spacious. Lots of parking. Easy to get in and out using the codes that were given. Beds were comfortable
The shower was really hard to get to the correct temperature. TV remote didn't work very well. Stains on the carpet

Budget hotel, quiet location, convenient free parking. Unstaffed but easy to get key.
Shower was poor - electric shower with homemade warning attached to avoid scalding hot water- "don't use on high power".
General feeling was old and tired - thin flattened old pillows, cheap old carpet and furniture.

The only problem was the room was not being cleaned. We were confused why no one was cleaning room or changing towels since this is a hotel. We stayed for 3 nights so expected cleaning to be done at least once with towel change.
