Really genuinely friendly staff
Beautiful stone building and woodwork with a real working well
Lovely location. Nice room.
Bar staff friendly and made good cocktails. Sunday menu small but tasty
Destiny who served us an excellent breakfast was very attentive and lovely.
Ladies on reception very engaging and helpful ..found us an extra fan for our room
Lovely fluffy bath towels
Bit of a "climb" to get into the huge bath for a shower
Breakfast was great. Food quality was really good. All served ina lovely dinning room.
Table for two a little small, but manageable.
Picturesque historical building
Allocated room was without facilities ie needed repair. Replaced with a downgraded room. When asked for rebate was met with sarcasm from the on-duty desk. The differential in cost was repaid with one drink (there were two of us staying in the room), and cross comments between two members of staff. No goodwill gesture and barely an apology.
Food and location very nice. Staff friendly and helpful
The bedroom was very warm and even though there was windows. To open it was basically opening into a inside room.
Friendly and welcoming staff.
Lovely meal on the evening
The hotel was in a beautiful area and the views from the terrace were amazing! We had only booked one night as we were passing through however we would love to stay again. Next time we visit Santo's will be the place we book. The room was very clean and the breakfast was lovely.
However the staff were exceptional, so helpful and kind and nothing seemed too much bother.
A really enjoyable stay!
very nice location in quiet village. Room was a good size. Bar and restaurant area nice and breakfast was good. Evening meal was nice but a bit pricey.
Our stay was during hot weather and room was unbearably hot. Windows were closed on arrival an no attempt to cool it down. Provided with small desk fan. The lift to 1st floor was broken so had to walk quite a way to get to room. Decoration looked a little tired.
Beautiful location, nice rooms and facilities
Receptionist wasn’t very helpful to start with.
Due to hot weather rooms were uncomfortable and we had to ask for fans
Clean, comfortable, quiet, friendly staff
Lovely views from the back of the car park.
No aircon in room. There was a fan but the room was still stuffy.
Great location , friendly staff , upgrade got air conditioning
Decor tired , room could be cleaner , poor breakfast was not hot .
The staff were friendly and attentive with special mention to Richard the manager, Issy and Kersty on reception and Emma in the breakfast room. Although the breakfast was buffet style the cooked items where well presented and the day it was fresh cooked it was very good. The food in the main restaurant was also very good. The parking at the hotel was plentiful with beautiful views. The location for us was great as it was in easy reach of many and varied places to visit. the 6 of us in our group all said we would definitely go back again.
Nothing that I can think of at this time
This is a really feel good hotel with friendly and lovely staff, nothing is too much for them. We stayed there with our friends for 5 nights, we dined a couple of times in the restaurant and the food and service were excellent. Breakfast was super and the lovely Emma made sure we were well catered for even giving us some tips on where to visit. Richard the manager and Lizzie and Kirsty on reception were brilliant too making sure that everything was ok and that we had everything we needed with plenty of extra milk and teabags.too. We would definitely visit again.
The position of the hotel was perfect for what we wanted to do. The staff were all very helpful. We had a problem with our room which they very quickly solved for us. The ladies on reception went over and above.
The original room had, had two big extractor exhausts by the window which proved to be very noisy.
