Pros:

This hotel definitely exceeded my expectations. The staff were excellent. The food was good and the room spacious and clean. The lounge was cool and comfortable.

Cons:

The upstairs rooms were extremely hot. We had a downstairs room which was ok with a fan going. If climate change continues with very hot summers, air conditioning will have to be considered.

Typical Britannia Owned Hotel - Marmite
Pros:

Cannot fault any of the staff - All were presented neat and tidy and very polite.
Breakfast was okay, depending which Chief was on.

Cons:

Our first room was ok other than the banging of the kitchen door all through the night 😡.
The music playing in the ground floor space could also be heard in our room ( was like having a radio on in our room) which was room 407.
I made reception aware of both issues, and ask to change room, reception apologised and moved us to a different room. Didn’t eat evening meal in the restaurant as it was Buffet, we went over to The Hogget Pub ( 5 mins walking distance from the Hotel) We remember this hotel from when we lived in Hook many years ago. It does need to be updated and the Courtyard a good tidy, but that would not put us off staying again.

Pros:

Orasul

Cons:

Prosoapele nu le schimbă nimeni iar camera lasă de dorit. Nu a fost renovată de câțiva ani buni. Foarte slab!!!!

It was ok
Pros:

The bed was huge!

Cons:

Breakfast was ok, it wasn’t the best cooked breakfast. The cleaning staff were rude, we walked past them in the morning, we said good morning and they carried on speaking in their language, a member of management was also among them too. The room was clean but we had ants in our bathroom, mold on the ceiling. Needs a bit updating. The hand moisture was with the shower gel/shampoo over the bath. (Weird position). No spare pillows in the room & no phone to contact reception .

Fabulous hotel for the cost
Pros:

This is a great a hotel for the money. Staff are very professional and friendly. My room was over the bar area so some noise pollution but nothing that stopped me sleeping. Bed was very comfortable and the mini fridge in the room is a god send. Plenty of plug sockets too.
So good I have booked for next week.

Cons:

There is a fire door on top floor to the 400 rooms that could do with the auto-closer adjusted or changed as it slams very loudly. But that is a small complaint.

Disappointed with this hotel, which is looking tired and in need of investment and attention
Pros:

Friendly staff. Bar food and drink was really good.

Cons:

I was disappointed with this hotel, which is looking tired and in need of investment and attention.

The accommodation corridors contained litter, and a stair runner had become dislodged and was simply left at the bottom of the stairs. Outside, there was litter, including a coat hanger, which appeared to have been there for some time.

The bathroom gave the impression that standards had slipped. The bath and shower gel dispensers were only partially filled, with one around a third full and the other around half full. There were exposed wall plugs by the bath where a towel rail had clearly once been fitted, and the toilet seat was fitted at a bizarre angle.

The grounds and car park also looked scruffy and poorly maintained, which only reinforced the overall impression of a property that lacks attention to detail.

Overall, the hotel fell well short of expectations and appears to be in need of both maintenance and improved housekeeping standards.

These ought to be raised with management
Pros:

Help yourself meal was good.
Fitness centre and restaurant closed far too early.

Cons:

Fitness centre and pool closed to early, most people finish work 18.00hrs and need time for a sauna and wind down

Rubbish
Pros:

Looked nice

Cons:

The Beds were really uncomfortable and made a lot of noise.

Had a terrible nights sleep. Also could hear people on the second floor walking around during the night which woke us up.

Won’t be staying again

No housekeeping in 3 days, view of ladders, paint etc from room. Overall disappointing & overpriced
Pros:

Location was pleasant

Cons:

Felt like it was long overdue for a facelift . There was only one night table lamp & it didn’t work, I requested to have it changed but never worked in my three days there. To have a coffee at 10 in the morning I had to pay £3.80. There was no option any if the 3 nights to order anything à la carte, it was all typical buffet style & crowded with bus tours. Poor water pressure in bathtub.
