Only stayed 1 night but couldn't really fault anything
Pros:

Friendly staff at check-in, room was good, nice selection of food in the restaurant and good value for what is basically an all-you-can-eat buffet with 3 courses.

Cons:

Grounds were pretty but could do with someone to tidy up the patios etc..

Have stayed there 4 times before. Treated like a dog.
Pros:

We were refused an extension on 10:00 am checkout, unless we paid more. We were told check-in was 4:00 pm, although it was supposedly 3:00pm. Old building, rickety. They care not for the customer, only money.

First-class staff, plenty of parking, but property maintenance would appear to be non-existent.

Friendly and helpful staff.

Cons:

Property maintenance appears to be virtually non-existent. First room, shower hose had no sealing washers, meaning that water gushed out along the hose instead of coming out of the shower head. Was moved to another room which had perfect shower, but (a) no shower gel, (b) no handle on right-hand window, so latter could not be fully closed; (c) broken 13A socket to left-hand side of bed when viewed from base; (d) loose 13A plug top on lamp to right-hand-side of bed; and (e) peeling lining paper above window. All in all, my impression was that Britannia Hotels see the property as a cash cow in which they seek to invest as little as possible.

Good customer service
Pros:

The room was not very clean but when I complained to the receptionist, I was quickly upgraded to a more spacious room which was really good

Cons:

As previously mentioned, the first room was unclean but the second room we we're upgraded to was cleaner and roomier

Cons:

No food service for guests in the room. We paid 95 pounds and thought we had breakfast included like our friends who paid 60 pounds .. sadly not . Wallpaper peeling off wall and hot tap flopping about in the wind .

Pros:

Lovely location, the staff were professional and friendly. Room was clean and well stocked and well equipped

Cons:

Many things didn’t work, shower, radiator, very uncomfortable pillows and mattresses. They don’t serve food outside of the breakfast. No bar service after 11pm. No room service. No food!
