It was in a perfect location. Very clean and comfortable. The outside area will be brilliant when the weather is better.

Breakfast was excellent. There was a good choice and it was brought to the table ie not a buffet and in my opinion better for that. Location was superb
My husband kept hitting his head at the top of the stairs in the cottage. He was warned but he is 6’2”.
Good situation, with car park. Very clean, apart from under shower drain cover, which was dirty. Bathroom otherwise we'll appointed. Comfortable bed.
The town house had twelve twisting and narrow steps down to our room, plus several more down to the bathroom. Luckily we are mobile, at 70 plus years but access could be dodgy for some, particularly to the bathroom at night. It would be nice to be able to have a means of getting some air into the room. The door could be opened to the outside but there was no way to secure this to prevent ne'er do wells accessing the room from outside. We were there on the warmest February night so far this year, so it would, no doubt, be rather hot later in the year. Also a fridge is desirable, as many people have medications requiring refrigeration nowadays. Meals at The Crown were good but enormous!

The Crown is in a lovely building, it is obviously well utilised by the local population, and was spotlessly clean throughout.
We were really cross to be woken up by a tremendous noise from the floor above, this was at 06:45 which we thought entirely unacceptable. We spoke about it to the receptionist when leaving, and there didn’t appear to be any comprehension around what the noise might have been.
We were in the hay loft which was quirky….
We could hear doors slamming during the day from the office below.

The breakfast while being very nice took over an hour with the main course taking half an hour to arrive.
We love this hotel.. and always stay here when visiting Stamford.
