Everything was spot on - the location, the room, the staff. We particularly liked the outside setting areas and the interior decor. The breakfast was excellent too. And Stamford itself is an absolute gem.
Nothing, it was all great.
The hotel is ideally situated to explore Stamford. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast is very. good. The bed was very comfortable.
Having to climb the very steep flights of stairs.
Room was lovely, well furnished and very clean with lots of electric sockets which you don’t often find in hotels. Bathroom was very spacious with a lovely bath and shower. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent with lots of choice.
The room was very hot when you first went in but cooled down with the fan provided.
Perfectly situated in the middle of the town. Lovely breakfast, friendly staff, outside courtyard with plenty of shaded areas ideal for having food and a drink. Small carpark at the rear accessed via an electronic gate. Plenty of shaded area
We we in room 1 and throughout the night a door kept on being slammed somewhere in the hotel. As we are light sleepers this kept waking us up. Mentioned this the following morning on checking out. As the building is old, understandably it has wooden floorboards, had we known this prior to our arrival we would have asked for a top floor room as throughout the night we could here footsteps from the room above.
Exceptionally beautiful building and decor throughout! Lovely planters al round the building. Spotlessly clean. The most caring and attentive staff we ever had the pleasure of meeting! They looked after my heavily pregnant wife so well! We will be back 10/10
Central location and secure parking. Beautiful old building and tasteful decoration throughout.
Room 41 was brilliant and food excellent
Hotel, staff, food and location all excellent 👌
Lovely old building in a great location in the historic town of Stamford. It has a very pretty flower filled outside terrace.
Our room was rather small and not a lot of storage space - the hangers kept falling down. Rather slow service at breakfast.
Great
The Staff lead by the manager really did all they could to make the stay as good as it could be.
Excellent hotel. Perfect location. Great food. Lovely courtyard. Staff so helpful and friendly, especially Will.

Breakfast was good but it was cooked "very good" orfruit etc.At many hotels you can have fruit and toast etc and something cooked. However they tend to be more expensive hotels
All fine
Staff very friendly, garden a bonus, breakfast very good, room very clean and comfortable decor was excellent throughout the room and hotel.
Everything was fine for our stay
We were happy with everything.
We didn’t like having to leave.
The Crown is in the centre of Stamford so very convenient. There is a car park at the rear in which we managed to find a space on both days. Our shower was very good and I liked the Elemis toiletries. Breakfast, which is all table service, was also good and the portions generous.
I paid extra for a room with a king-size bed but was extremely disappointed to find that we were in the basement with no window, only a curtained door onto an area with a stone staircase up to the street. Furthermore the stairs down from the hall to the room and those from the bedroom to the bathroom were steep and awkward. The room was cold, so, even though it was warm outside, I had to turn the heating on in the bedroom and the towel rail in the bathroom to maximum. At night I was cold and had to ask for extra blankets in order to be comfortable. The selection of tea and coffee in the room was basic and there were no extra, thoughtful touches in the bathroom (things like flannels, cotton wool balls, shower caps etc). The staff in general were polite but rather brusque. I thought the room was very poor value for money.
