Very basic accommodation for the price.
Noisy and a very basic small room.
It was practical and local to where we needed to go
Nice and well presented
Super staff - very friendly and helpful. excellent food promptly served.
Nice friendly pub
I was in the loft room very hot, small ache on unit but didn’t do much
Staff gave us a key so we could come and go whenever we liked.
I paid for 3 beds and asked for a fold-out to cover the 4 people staying. Staff assured me this would be organised whilst we were out. We returned late at night to find two beds ready to sleep in, one with no sheet or duvet (unmade) and no fold-out. This meant I had to sleep on the floor.
Bathroom had a smell like the drains were backing up.
Good location
Parking is opposite in council run car park but reasonably priced
it was like home and that's why I thank you
Comfy bed, really clean, toasty warm (it was November) and loads of space. The location was perfect - we like the restaurant in the pub so it was ideal to be staying on the premises. Also it was close to where friends were staying.
Every time we've been to the Bear we've had a good experience - such friendly staff.
It was also dog friendly - a big plus.
This wasn't a dislike, far from it, but if you're tall - be aware that there are low beams and low headroom on the stairs. It's an old property so this was part of the character and didn't bother us, but if you're not careful you might bump your head. It was all part of the charm.
Great pub in a great location with a decent size and comfortable room
The toilet lid and shower door were slightly broken. They still function but were slightly broken.
It is charming
Comfortable and great for a one night stay. Also vegan options in the pub was a selling point.
Amazing staff
