Great place, food is always amazing xx
Lovely location
We knew the hotel’s facilities were unavailable because of renovation but this was reflected in the excellent price. I thought I had booked a twin room but been given a double. The owner/manager changed my room for which I was very grateful. The bed linen smelt fresh and clean and the room had an excellent shower. The room was a good size with double aspect so lovely and light.
The grounds on the picture look like you can go for a nice walk but this is not the case.
The hotel was basically clean, and the bed linen was spotless.
It was COLD. Bedroom heater was insufficient, and bed too soft.. Sink in bathroom had no hot water (had to boil the kettle to wash). Evening restaurant meal was so salty it could not all be eaten. Breakfast was non-existent. No staff on duty when we left in the morning.
Good spot
Evening dinner was good
Room smelt damp and musty. Bathroom and particularly the shower was tiny. Breakfast was adequate although could have started earlier.
The quiet, remote location of the hotel was nice. The friendly, personal touch in the service from all the staff we came across was appreciated. The room was comfortable, and the en-suite bathroom looked to have been recently updated to a high standard. The breakfast was excellent. The dinner was good too - a little pricey, but perhaps to be expected from an independent hotel well away from any big towns or cities. The availability of a packed lunch (on request, at an additional price) to take with us was a nice surprise, though again a little pricey.
The bedroom (excluding bathroom) could do with a bit of a spruce-up, and the strength of the Wi-Fi signal within the room was poor and kept dropping out. The water coming from the shower didn't seem to stay hot for very long.
The staff was amazing and it exceeded expectations. It could be the best value for money I ever spend. The room was spacious and very clean. The lady at the reception was very nice and welcoming. Overall I am more than happy with the hotel.
Breakfast was very good. The staff were helpfull
Nothing
Nothing
No wifi as it stated it had and smells heavily of cigarettes.
Breakfast was great. Full English great. Didn't choose orange juice or cereals. Had extra toast with jams. Visited in November so quiet as we were only guests. Next to a caravan park so could be busy in Summer.
We were upgraded to a deluxe room at no extra charge as we were the only guests. This was finished to a high standard and looked very new. Great shower and a large wall tv The hosts were obliging and friendly
The big double bed was a little too firm for us. The water took a while to get hot. It was too far off the road down a narrow track. But it was peaceful.
Kind attentive staff
I’d recommend a little attention to the entrance of the hotel. Perhaps a welcoming flower arrangement or nice scent.
Staff were excellent.
Bed was a little uncomfortable.
