Great location, but rooms very small and in need of refurbishment.
Pros:

Great location, right by the harbour with rooms overlooking the harbour itself. Staff helpful and pleasant.

Cons:

Hotel decor was faded and dated, with very small bedrooms, lacking any storage space, or shelves. The ensuite shower room was tiny, and badly ventilated. The whole infrastructure was much in need of modernising (the fire alarm went off twice on the 4 evenings we stayed, each time set off by steam from other guests' showers). The rooms are all so close to each other to be noisy, and we had other guests try to enter our room, thinking it was the restaurant's bathroom.

Great location, terrible room. Room 23 ( dog friendly room). Awful.

Cons:

It was run down, damp, hadn’t been decorated for a long time, we had a diffuser in our room which ran, loudly, every night! They charge you 4* prices for 1* accommodation.

Lovely location and excellent staff
Pros:

Excellent location and excellent, friendly staff. The hotel is located right on the harbour and so rooms have a view of the sea - facing east so you get early morning sunshine. We were able to grab a parking space right outside on the harbourside (free). We didn't eat in the restaurant but did use the bar and both seemed well supported.

Cons:

There are certain limitations when turning three old harbourside cottages into a hotel, so the layout is quirky to say the least, though this didn't detract from the experience. Our room furnishings were functional rather than luxurious but the staff do a brilliant job in making the best of what's there.
