Locatie perfect, maar niet comfortabel

Perfecte locatie

Cons:

Verbleef er tijdens hittegolf, dan is charmant en oud dus geen airco en een kapotte koelkast in je kamer niet optimaal. Ook het synthetische beddengoed is dan niet fijn.

Pros:

El hotel y las instalaciones si bien no tienen las comodidades de los hoteles modernos, son divinas, ya que mantiene el encanto de la época original. Frente tiene uno de los pubs más antiguos de Oxford donde se puede comer muy bien!
El personal es super atento con todo.

Cons:

Hay demasiadas escaleras, a considerar en caso de llevar mucho equipaje.

Great atmosphere for 2-3 day stay, but something more modern might be nice for longer stays.
Pros:

The hotel was quaint; what you might expect from buildings around for centuries. The location was great - within walking distance of many of the colleges, restaurants, and museums, and, notably, the Turf Tavern was right next door. The staff were very helpful.

Cons:

The bathroom was especially small, and the floors were uneven. We were there during a heat wave, and the room was very hot! They did provide a fan.

Great location and friendly staff!
Pros:

The location is wonderful, especially for location: close to shops, cafes, libraries (for students) and places to explore (tourists).

Cons:

As it is right next to Turf Tavern, the ground floor room I was in was quite noisy with people walking in and out of the pub.

Right place at the right time, but otherwise the most expensive and worst hotel room I can remember.
Pros:

Only the location, although the bed was comfortable enough.

Cons:

Tiny room for £250 a night, with only a bath (not described in the promotional material). I haven't had a bath for 20 years, but a shower curtain might have made a difference.

Great location and historic odd rooms. Staff were very friendly.
Pros:

Location was wonderful. Right in center of Oxford.

Cons:

The first room, 7, we had was a bit odd. Keep in mind this property dates to the 17 century. But no stand up shower and toilet too much prodding to flush. Second room, 5, had more room and much better bathroom.

Kind and welcoming owners, but a tired, dated hotel that no longer justifies its rates.
Pros:

It’s very central to where we wanted to be. The proprietors are friendly.

Cons:

We’ve stayed here before (2yrs) back but felt this time the price-value lost its mark. Its lost its charm therefore. Also breakfast was ridiculously priced for what we got. Go into town and you’ll pay less for more and better quality. Really sorry because it’s a lovely location and house. It needs renovation.

Hôtel au charme suranné au coeur de la vieille ville, absolument parfait pour un séjour immersif.
Pros:

L'hôtel typique dans son jus, tout de guingois et biscornu , le personnel attentif, bienveillant, la situation exceptionnelle et hors du temps, le petit déjeuner sur une vraie nappe, une parenthèse immersive hors du temps, et c'est ce que nous recherchions.

Cons:

Les matelas manquent de fermeté. Hôtel d'époque donc non climatisé, en simple vitrage, y séjourner l'été doit être moins agréable.
