Beautiful hotel, friendly and welcoming staff with a comfortable room.
The location could not be better if you want to be in the centre of the historic centre of Oxford. The staff were incredibly friendly and our room and bed were very comfortable. The continental breakfast was lovely with cafetiére coffee, croissant and pain au chocolats, toast and jams and juice. It is perfect for a one night stay. We stayed in Room 1 (which was a King bed room) and definitely worth spending the extra.
It doesn't pretend to be a luxury hotel. It is located in an old building. Our son stayed in Room 16 which cost less and looked a bit tired. However, he slept well and was comfortable.
Quirky
No problem
Lo auténtico , la ubicación , la atención , el desayuno
There is no better location in Oxford than this; everything of interest and culture is within a few minutes walk. It's a quaint property with all sorts of nooks and crannies and some lovely old features. The staff are really welcoming and helpful, the breakfast adequate with further paid-for options. The room was small but well-appointed and the bed extremely comfortable.
The rooms on the upper floor are accessed by a staircase so steep it resembles the north face of the Eiger. You need crampons, ropes and astounding levels of courage to get up there. If you have heavy bags or are in any way physically compromised it's going to be a very tough call. And let's just say that if you try to swing a cat in the bathroom, it's going to end badly.
Nice included breakfast and parking not too far from the hotel. Location was right in the centre.
There was black mould growing in the room and the whole room smelt musty. Carpets in the bathroom a disturbing touch. Also could not open the windows.
Good location in centre of Oxford. Quirky Hotel made up of a row of ancient houses. A bit dated in decor looking a bit tired. We had a tiny room at the top of the hotel with a shower that spat at us. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was a croissant ( they called this a continental breakfast but there was an absence of cheese and meats) if you want a cooked breakfast you have to pay for this, consisting a sausage, slice of bacon, egg and a tomato. Beans and mushrooms are additional and you have to pay extra for these! I left the sausage as it was undercooked. The who experience was very underwhelming. It was a disappointing stay and I plan to go back to Oxford but not to the Bath Place Hotel.
Location was excellent and the staff very friendly. We only had the continental breakfast which was good but a cooked breakfast was offered.
Central location & close to Turf Tavern
Reception not open at 3pm Bar not open at any time. Poor value.
Andrew was very helpful !
The location was perfect for our holiday, it allowed us to be close to the areas we wished to visit. The room was cosy and the staff/service was excellent. Perfect for admirers of vintage hotels.
Room was comfortable and quiet
Breakfast was poor. Piece of bread or a blank croissant. I ended up going out for a proper breakfast. They shouldn't say they provide a breakfast because they don't unless you want to order ala carte ahead of time..
