Everything about the ambient and style of the Hotel. After the 2 day vulcano hike it was the perfect place for relaxing. The bed is very comfortable, staff was so kind. And the massage I booked was just wow! It is a very quiet place and it felt like there were only a few other guests. The facilities of the place gave me a Bali vibe and there is a nice place on top of the roof where you can sit and watch the sundown near the volcano. Plus: Hot shower and nice guatemalian breakfast.

We booked a room that was not shown in the pictures. Based on the pictures, we expected a reasonably nice room. We got put in a broom closet-sized accommodation. We were offered to upgrade our room, which we took, but it was an extra hundred or so CAD for us. This seems like a hussle where people see a cheaper price for a luxury room which lures them in, book a room based on the ad’s wonderfully nice presentation, and then get hussled into paying more to remediate the situation. We also booked because we saw there was a sauna and a jacuzzi. But for each person it is 100 quetzales an hour to use. That comes out to 40 CAD extra just to use the jacuzzi for an hour for a couple, and another 40 to use the sauna. This is not mentioned until you get there.
