値段相応
Pros:

建物は汚れているが、ベッドは綺麗だった。
宿のオーナーは丁寧で、メダンまでのバスをチャーターしてくれた。

Cons:

トイレ横の下水からの異臭がベッドに届いたので、何かしらで塞ぐことをオススメします。
もちろん温水は出ないです。

First and last stay. Not recommending it to anyone.
Pros:

The receptionist is pretty helpful with proving us with information on where to eat and how to catch the mini van to tiga raja harbour as well as when we asked for a screwdriver to open up the fans to get it cleaned ourselves before usage.

Cons:

The poor cleanliness of the homestay from toilet to bedsheets and pillows. Seems like not cleaned properly.

Rien d’exceptionnel mais le minimum est là.
La douche est à la malaisienne: dans les toilettes qui seront trempés après votre passage… mais on finit par s’y faire…
Contrairement aux autres commentaires, le propriétaire m’a attendu jusque 22h. Par contre, la plate-forme booking ne répondait pas. J’ai payé la réservation comme ça le proprio savait que n’allait arriver

Cons:

Super dirty, black mold everywhere. Toilet didn’t work, and water was cold. Didn’t have any wifi even though it said we did. On arrival we were told we had to be back before 12pm, else we couldn’t enter the building anymore, even though we didn’t know that beforehand.

There were bed bugs in the bed, don’t waste your money, we couldn’t stay and had to find another place.

Pleasant
Pros:

Quite nice and central location. It's about 15 minutes by feed to reach the ferry. An Indomaret is around the corner. The owner was very helpful and supporting by figuring out things.
There is a small cooking spot and drinking water is provided. The view from the balcony to Lake Toba is amazing.

Cons:

Some simple improvement for the rooms, such as hooks on the wall or a chair to put things would make life easier.
The cooking area is quite poorly equipped, e.g. some more forks and knives would be great.
There was no toilette paper, at least for the "beginning" this would be an improvement.
The towels provided were too tiny to be used for the shower.
Last to mention: There is a school across the street. I don't mind the noise of children at all, but Indonesian schools seem to operate differently: The first day we woke up at 6.30am, because of loud music and loudspeaker announcements made over there. We then used earplugs the days after.
