Pros:

Loved my stay at Jungle inn! Very kind and welcoming staff. Special shout out to Blade! Loved the location by the river and on edge of jungle. Rooms comfortable and spacious. Food at restaurant was great, ate there every night. They are able to organise tours and ongoing travel.

Wonderful place, do yourself a favour and stay here!

In summary, you should stay here for the location, service, food and rooms. I would need 1000 words to express everything positive about this place. Let's see how far I get.
The staff, wonderful. Its ask and you shall receive. They said come as friend leave as family. That's what it felt like. While everyone was great to us, the beautiful girl in the cafe made us great coffee, only my wife competes. Blade was also wonderful, we loved talking with him. He is so attentive and charming. My wife wanted to take him home to Australia with us. Bronte (I may get spelling wrong) in the kitchen, this man is a legend. I am a (self proclaimed) asian food coniseur. His food blew me away, better than what I expect at a 5 star city hotel. Best gulai in Indo, best Soto Ayam and superb rendang. He introduced me to two new dishes (rare to see 1 new dish let alone 2) he cooked Arsik and Semur, both fantastic. I just finished speaking to a Samosir local who confirmed the dish was from here. He said the local Samosir people don't cook it anymore because they scared they will get it wrong. So... there is a dying art. Seriously eat every Indonesian dish on the menu. Bronte could be one of the most talented chefs i have ever met.
The rooms are great even if the monkeys jump up and shag on your balcony. The Elon Musk on the roof provides reliable internet (though you could improve the range a litle). The rooms are huge, while we didn't need it they had aircon which we didn't expect.
Oh and back to Bronte's food. So good, I volunteered my missus into a cooking class. She started a chefs apprenticeship when she was young and reported that the kitchen was super clean, super well organised and she returned with wonderful meals for us under Brontes direction.
Not only will we come back, but we already want to come back. When we do it will be for a couple of weeks not a few days.

Cons:

I was not happy that I booked so few nights, but I was able to extend.
I am not happy that I cannot eat Bronte's food tonight.

Absolutely recommend, no need to think twice
Pros:

One of the best hotels that I ever stayed at location wise, right at the edge of the jungle where you can hear the sounds of the jungle and the river running. Rooms are super spacious, well designed, clean, with big balconies with hammocks, and very comfortable. The hotel restaurant serves some delicious meals as well.

Cons:

The Wi-Fi in my room was a bit slow, but in the reception area is fairly quick.

We had a lovely stay at Jungle Inn! The people were really wonderful, so warm and kind! The food and coffee were also a real treat every day! The view from Jungle Inn on the river is beautiful and in the evening there is a very relaxed vibe! Thank you so much, would recommend it to everyone!

They also arranged our transfers perfectly and a lovely jungle trekking, which was really an amazing experience! Thank you so much for the great time!

Comfortable resting place before an outstanding jungle hike
Pros:

Excellent location. Beautiful view of the river and an excellent base for a jungle trek. Very courteous staff and lovely food at the restaurant. They gave me a room to shower after my trek at the end of my stay and I really appreciated that. Excellent communication as well before my stay. They also organized my journey to the hotel from Lake Toba and made my trip there seamless.

I wish I stayed longer!
Pros:

I stayed in the honeymoon suite for two nights as a solo traveller and had the most relaxing experience. The food was delicious, the room was beautiful, the location even better. The staff are fantastic and go above and beyond to tailor and personalise your experience and make sure you enjoy yourself. I did a one day jungle trek with them and loved seeing not only orangutang, but other monkeys, birds and reptiles, plus loved rafting back afterwards!

Das Jungle Inn hat 3 tolle Tages-Ausflüge für uns organisiert. Grosse Dorf-Tour mit Markt, Besuchen bei klein-handwerklichen Herstellern von Tofu, Tempe u.s.w.,, dann Tour in den Dschunhel zur grössten/höchsten Blüte der Welt, und als Höhepunkt Trek zu den Orang-Utans im Nationalpark. Super- unsere 3. Orang-Utan Tou.
