Lovely villa, had everything we needed
Decent breakfast. Stayed in the private-pool villa, spacious bathroom with good heat and water pressure in the shower. Property is kept clean and tidy. Umami is wonderful - friendly and professional, did his best when we tried to check in the first time.
Musa double-booked us and turned us away at check-in, leaving us to fend for ourselves. Gave the room to other people who had booked a shorter stay via AirBnB because they had paid up-front. We had booked several months in advance and received multiple confirmations. Management blamed Booking.com for the double-booking instead of taking responsibility and offering us any adequate level of compensation (they offered to pay for our transfers, a dinner and a reduced rate to stay three nights at the end of our trip). An off-site manager only seemed concerned about us canceling our reservation on Booking.com so that Musa wasn't charged. We were told by staff that it wasn't the first time this had happened - other travelers to Musa Bintang had also had to navigate the double-booking debacle. Luckily it was low-season so we were able to find lovely accommodation elsewhere on the island, literally at the last minute. We stayed at Musa Bintang for the final few nights of our journey as we had been looking forward to it, however we found it to be less pleasant than the alternative accommodation we were forced to find. The bed in the private pool villa was extremely hard and uncomfortable. Lots of mosquitoes - other properties would burn coils in the evenings but Musa didn't bother. One manager was particularly surly with us and made us feel unwelcome, not the warm, friendly service that is fairly standard throughout Indonesia. Would not stay here again unless ownership changed hands. Cannot recommend - there are nicer, quieter and better-run places on Gili Air.
Beautiful room and outside pool area, the staff was so helpful and kind, the accommodation just had a good feel to it. If I ever come back to Gili Air, I would 100% stay here again. Miss you Musa!

we actually stayed at the other property (musa villas) due to a booking error! the staff were very lovely and accomodating, and let us stay even past checkout to wash up after a snorkelling trip. breakfast was lovely too.

My partner and I had such a nice stay here. The room was cozy and felt like a cute little wooden shack. Staff were so friendly, chill and accomodating. I came down with Bali belly and they made me a special charcoal drink that helped. Breakfast is really nice and the location is in the middle of everything. Just a quick ride to any beach or restaurant. Such good value for money!

Uns hat die geräumige Villa mit privatem Pool gut gefallen. Es gibt genügend Platz um das Gepäck abzustellen. Eine Küche mit grossem Kühlschrank. Wir haben vor allem das überdachte Deck über der Küche genossen im Abends noch draußen zu sitzen oder morgens zum Yoga.

Alles ausserhalb des Zimmers, empfanden wir als weniger sauber und gepflegt. In der Küche war nur wenig Geschirr, 2 Kaffee Tassen haben wir aber gleich bekommen auf Anfrage.
Kaffee und Tee gab es keinen, wie sonst gewohnt.
Es waren keine Matratzen vorhanden für die Liegen am Pool. Diese waren angeblich kaputt.

Staying at Musa Bintan Villas & Bungalows was simply incredible.
The traditional wooden Budenhaus style gives the place a unique, authentic charm.
The staff is amazing: warm, attentive and always ready to help with anything.
The breakfast is excellent, fresh and delicious every morning.
Everything is kept spotlessly clean, and the whole vibe of the place just makes you feel at home from the first minute.
I would 100% come back. Highly recommended!

Lovely location, very friendly staff with fantastic breakfast offering.
Unfortunately our room was not to the standard expected based on the price. The laundry and room smelt to the point where we cut our stay short after only 1 night, and found elsewhere for the remainder of our stair on Gili A. Has a lot of potential should this be resolved.

Our stay at Musa Bintang Villas & Bungalows was absolutely amazing! The place is spotless, beautifully decorated, and full of charm. The wooden design gives it a cozy, tropical feeling, and the pool area is perfect for relaxing after a day exploring Gili Air. The staff were wonderful always friendly, smiling, and ready to help with anything we needed. The attention to cleanliness and comfort really made the difference. Breakfast was amazing. We felt completely at peace here. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a stylish and relaxing stay on Gili Air!
