Absolutely everything. It was pure joy!

Chrissie’s is a fabulous place to stay. The room and the bed were very comfortable. The balcony gave us fantastic views of the fantastic wildlife in the garden . The staff were extremely attentive and sorted out our excursions and onward travel. The restaurant was very good and offered a wide choice of cuisine. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The owner and staff were extremely friendly and helpful when dealing with travellers - excellent service. They helped arrange a last minute walking tour in the national park. Location was excellent, very close to the sights, but in a serene setting with lots of animals and birds in the trees so it felt very relaxed. Rooms were basic but spotless. Restaurant served good lunch and breakfast. Great value for money.

The team at Chrissie’s were simply brilliant at welcoming me and ensuring I felt at home. There is absolutely nothing negative to say about my stay at Chrissie’s ; I already am wishing and hoping to return one day.
Beautiful views, surrounded by wildlife, lovely swimming pool, delicious large breakfasts and beautiful comfortable rooms.
The reception team helped my book my tickets for local attractions, and advised me on how to get to Periyar Tiger Reserve. And I was even allowed to come back to the hotel to shower and unwind after the experience, even though I’d already checked out!
Definitely book at Chrissie’s, you’ll feel right at home.

I had no particular expectations for our stay in Kumily; the place was simply meant to serve as a base for visiting the national park. But after checking in and leaving the lobby and restaurant area for the actual hotel building, we unexpectedly found ourselves in a veritable Garden of Eden.

The rooms of this uniquely designed hotel are set back from the street and overlook the truly impressively landscaped rainforest garden. We had a large room on one of the upper floors and thoroughly enjoyed the view, complete with the sounds of nature, and watched squirrels, hornbills, racket-tailed drongos, and more.

The hotel management and staff are very welcoming and helpful in many ways. The menu at the restaurant, partly located on the rooftop terrace, was also a pleasant surprise, given the owner's background, and the food, as well as the breakfast, was excellent.

There's also a small pool and a lounge area on the fifth-floor rooftop terrace, offering panoramic views of the town.

The entrance to the national park is also easily accessible. The town's shops and restaurants (Vishwas Pure Veg was great) are easily accessible on foot.

Parking is also available.

The service was brilliant. The hotel was very clean and the food was delicious. We especially loved the homemade jams and peanut butter for breakfast. Great value for money.

Nice room with a view, breakfast with home made spreads, lovely pool, access to yoga classes, great recommendations from hotel staff who sorted our GAVI forest safari. Overall, an excellent stay.

I’ve been in India for 2 months and this place met my heart, I felt home, the hospitality, the place, the food, the room, everything was exceptional and I felt very emotional leaving because there is no better place on earth. They do their own chocolate and bread, what a benediction ! Thank you so much beautiful people

Viele Restaurants, Gewürzgärten, Geschäfte, Ayurvedische Massagen, Kathakali Center in Fussnähe.
Das gesamte Team ist äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Vom wunderschönen Balkon aus, kann man den Affen, beim Klettern zuschauen.
Es gibt eine Dachterrasse mit kleinem Pool und herrlichem Blick.
Ein Café mit leckerem Essen steht zur Verfügung.
Das Frühstück mit frischem Obst, Yoghurt, Honig und verschiedenen selbstgemachten Marmeladen und Brot. Omelette und typisch indische Frühstücksvariante. Alles sehr lecker.

Location is good just out of town but walkable. The block of rooms is surrounded by trees and plants and it’s possible to see wildlife. We saw and heard lots of birds, monkeys, a giant squirrel and butterflies from our room very spacious varanda. Our room was on the top and floor..The reception and restaurant is located in a different building , short walking distance from the rooms. The breakfast like everybody mentioned is brilliant and the restaurant serves nice food too.
We attend walking in yoga lessons and enjoyed that.
The owner and all the staff were welcoming and a good source of information; we booked the trips to the reserve with them which was hassle free and saved us time searching. We enjoyed a lot more the walk in the afternoon than the trip on the boat in very early morning. We liked the small town, Kumilly too. Ah, almost forgot the swmming pool which is nice too with a good area to hang around.

Service was absolutely fantastic and attention to detail was appreciated.
Everything was very clean, easy and we enjoyed watching the monkeys.

Het personeel is top! De vriendelijkheid en het meedenken met alles van safari's regelen tot aan elke ochtend een pot warm water om 6 uur voor elke deur zodat je koffie of thee kan drinken smorgens en vroege ochtend ontbijten voor de safari's
De kamers zijn zeer schoon en je wordt smorgens lekker wakker van de vogels en apen wat heerlijk is!

Het ‘team’ van de receptie regelt echt alles (excursies, transport, glutenvrij eten) voor je. Je hebt een onbezorgd verblijf. Ze zijn heel goed met milieu bezig: je kunt je waterfles vullen, zonnepanelen, schoonmaak op aanvraag. Goed restaurant. Klasse gewoon!
