Delightful, helpful, conscientious staff ( except one miserable barman !) Fabulous food beautifully served. Loved the music in the evenings. Hope to be back soon but sadly won’t be able to stay with you as I’ll be travelling with my dog

Pros:

Staff moved us to a quiet room after the first night

Cons:

Room 21 very noisy, due to being above the kitchens and the extractor fans did not switch off until 10pm and were back on at 6am

Great hotel, great staff.
Pros:

Friendly and helpful staff, good room & delicious food on the menu. The 'understated' music in the evenings was very enjoyable too. Good place to explore South West Ireland

Cons:

Nothing - everything was excellent

Kinsale I like it.
Pros:

Staff, food and room, excellent

Cons:

Noise from outside but don't let that put you off to much, mainly early deliveries. Bed and little on the hard side for me.

Not great at all
Cons:

The rooms were so small you couldn’t even unpack. The carpet was old and dated. There was a bucket in the hallway catching drips from the rain. The rooms were hot, but the street was loud so you couldn’t keep your windows open.

Pros:

We did not have the option to indicate a child was traveling with us and our daughter only had the option of a travel crib for which she is too old.

Cons:

There was loud music in neighboring bars until late and it would b great to have that disclaimer when guests register

Very very disappointing for the price surprised they didn't offer some form of compensation
Cons:

The room was dark with the window looking out onto a dirty outside area this window was down a passage hence dark and poor for ventilation
Although a week night a very loud student party went on till after 11,30 and although we spoke to the night porter nothing could be done
In the morning we complained but no satisfactory answers were given
Our breakfast order was forgotten however the waitress was very apologetic and we accepted her apology

Great hotel, warm, cosy and super clean
Pros:

As a recent (and regular visit) to the Blue Haven, I always have enjoyable experiences in the hotel. Staff are always accomadating and inviting. Hotel is really cosy and warm with very clean surrounds.

On my recent stay, staff extended a very gracious act of generosity whereby they didn't have to, which im very appreciative of. Hotel location is ideal as its right in the middle of Kinsale, along with their sister Hotel a few doors up where there is also a beautiful cafe that does great coffee!
I have no problem recommending the Blue Haven to anyone wishing to stay in kinsale
