The hotel is overall quite nice and in a perfectly central location. The staff was also very friendly
It was very loud at night, bathroom door did not completely close and breakfast is a la carte only, no buffet
The hotel itself is nice and very well located.
The mattresses were not very comfortable and the shower in the bathroom was very poor. The water pressure was very low and the temperature varied from freezing to boiling - very difficult to use.
Excellent breakfast!
Excellent Trad music in the evening!
Nicely decorated and great location in town!
nothing
This hotel is in the best location, close to everything. I'm looking forward to going back and exploring Kinsale. This is a treasure, a true treasure.
Nothing
The staff was so kind. Great pub and food. Family always felt welcomed.
The pillows are so flat.
We ate in the hotel restaurant both nights. The braised beef was delicious. Other options looked pretty good too but not as good as beef. The lady serving - I think her name was Martha, she was from Slovakia but living there a few years - was a really good host. Funny, friendly, and patient with our large family. Entertainment in the bar on Saturday night was brilliant.
It’s a boutique style hotel and could do with a little upgrading in places Eg carpets, bathroom door didn’t shut properly, my sisters shower was poor. But overall we enjoyed our stay
Ok firstly , no elevator so my elderly wife with a cane had to constantly struggle her way up and down the stairs .
Second the main desk staff was extremely rude to us ,
thirdly we had to demand that our room be cleaned because nobody seemed bothered to do so , food downstairs was overpriced, poor quality and small and made me feel sick
Fourthly , our rooms had no functioning air conditioning so we were roasting ,
Fifth we were on the second floor and could still hear the loud music coming from the bar downstairs making us get 0 sleep for the entirety of our stay
Six , we were promised a decent sized room only to get shoved into a shoebox with a broken and loud toilet
En plein centre du village , très bien situé. Personnel charmant et propose de la musique tout les soirs au restaurant de l'hôtel.
We had such a wonderful time at the Blue Haven Hotel in late March! The room was so comfortable and spacious, just what we needed. What really made our stay special and elevated it to 5-star status was Monica, the concierge. She was so welcoming, helpful, and always had a smile on her face. Thank you, Monica, for making us feel so welcome.
380 euro for one night and no breakfast is outrageous
The property needs a serious upgrade - in particular the accommodation side. The Breakfast Menu looks good on paper but the delivered product was not great. The eggs and sausages were clearly overcooked and/or left under heated lights for a long time. I can't say for certain, but it did not appear to be "cooked to order" No Cereal choice on the Menu and when requested, only Cornflakes and Rice Crispies were available. Had to wait for the cereal to be served, which was immediately followed by the cooked breakfast - all squeezed on to the table leaving little space for anything else and ensuring the cooked breakfast had cooled before being consumed. Overall, a very poor Breakfast service for a 4* Star Hotel.
We had spent the previous night at it's sister hotel, The Schull Harbour Hotel. The Schull Hotel was far superior in terms of Accommodation and Breakfast. There was a full self-serve range of Cereals, Fruit & Yogurt etc. on offer - with friendly and efficient service. The Blue Haven should strive to achieve the good standards set by its sister Hotel in Schull.
This hotel needs to be painted and the rooms need a revamp
Great location in centre of town. Room was good but had extension leads for Tv and hairdryer in room.
The shower was far too narrow because of rail . And mixer taps were a bit “vintage “ .
Sth room needs updating.
Bar food for lunch was good. But main dining room was closed the night we had dinner . Do dinner had to be in the bar too.
Staff were superb and great service.
I would return if room was updated with walk-in shower.
