Location
No one available after 9p and not before we left at 7a. The door was left open so anyone could walk into the hotel. The TV didn’t have any channels to watch other than streaming services and we didn’t feel comfortable using our own accounts. We did enjoy the location, as it was close to many amenities and the town centre.
Alles war super !
A large party of us turned up for lunch ( 20 people ) without a booking. Donna who was excellent from start to finish managed to accommodate us. The food was great as was the service , so good we went back the next day for breakfast which was outstanding
I can’t recall the name of the young man who looked after us but both he and Donna are a credit to your company give them a pay rise before they get “ head hunted “ by a competitor
Room and bathroom good size great location in town centre clean and comfortable
My mother and I arrived in Dublin on September 16th, spent our afternoon there before making the 3+ hour drive to Kinsale. Due to the pouring rain, our drive was closer to 4 hours. After driving around the area a couple of times on the hunt for a place to park, we parked in the public lot down the road and made the short walk to the hotel.
We were greeted warmly by the staff who very sweetly carried my mother's suitcase up the stairs to our room. She also reserved us a table at the bar and Bistro for us when we asked about dinner due to arriving later in the evening.
The food, service and atmosphere were all top notch. We enjoyed the Trad Duo so much that I've been searching for them online since our return so that I could hear them and relive that night we loved so much.
Breakfast was juat as fabulous, and at check out, we felt more like we were visiting an old friend than checking out after one night's stay.
Our stay in Kinsale and experience at Blue Haven was the warm welcome to Ireland thar we had dreamed about.
I highly recommend Blue Haven to anyone planning a trip to the area.
Delightful, helpful, conscientious staff ( except one miserable barman !) Fabulous food beautifully served. Loved the music in the evenings. Hope to be back soon but sadly won’t be able to stay with you as I’ll be travelling with my dog
You don’t accept dogs
We did not have the option to indicate a child was traveling with us and our daughter only had the option of a travel crib for which she is too old.
There was loud music in neighboring bars until late and it would b great to have that disclaimer when guests register
Staff, food and room, excellent
Noise from outside but don't let that put you off to much, mainly early deliveries. Bed and little on the hard side for me.
Staff moved us to a quiet room after the first night
Room 21 very noisy, due to being above the kitchens and the extractor fans did not switch off until 10pm and were back on at 6am
Lovely staff, excellent room.
Central and lovely breakfast and evening meal.
Bathroom a little small tricky to get in shower if you have mobility issues.
Friendly and helpful staff, good room & delicious food on the menu. The 'understated' music in the evenings was very enjoyable too. Good place to explore South West Ireland
Nothing - everything was excellent
The rooms were so small you couldn’t even unpack. The carpet was old and dated. There was a bucket in the hallway catching drips from the rain. The rooms were hot, but the street was loud so you couldn’t keep your windows open.
All good
Very comfortable lot of room to sit at bar or near fireplace
Great location, helpful staff and made our stay feel very special
No elevator access, stairs only so was heavy to move bags. Beds a little stiff
