Upon arrival, I waited 20 minutes outside in the cold and rain before someone came to the door, which I knocked on repeatedly. A passerby saw me and got someone from the bar. You cannot enter the accommodation from the outside without a room key!  And no one was at reception.
They NEVER were.

The heater did not work except at their convenience.
 One evening I was so cold I did not sleep at all. I demand a refund for that night. 

I had to leave the television on and the light in the bathroom to provide a tiny bit of warmth. I met folks at breakfast with the same complaints.

Breakfast was the only good thing there. Compliments to the tall, slim, gray-haired chef.

 The telephone did not work, ever. I had to go downstairs to make calls from the reception desk. To make one phone call it took me almost 2 hours to find help to do so.  It was impossible to find help at any time. 

Housekeeping staff witnessed the fact that my phone did not work. Neither did it work in another room on another floor, nor at reception where there is a sign to dial 0 for help at the reception desk, yet that phone did not work! This happened often!

 There is severe mold in the bathroom.

I demand a refund of at least one night. The night that I did not sleep at all because the heaters did not work and I was freezing. There was never anyone at the reception desk to help.

  Eventually, in the morning, I was told to go to a bar to find help for the reception desk. No thank you! Especially in the middle of the night, in my pajamas!!

The staffed seemed pleasant, but unforgiving. Always excuses, excuses, excuses.

It was cold

The windows were single glazed in the room I stayed in and the room was freezing. There was no central heating in the room I stayed in, only electric heaters. These heaters had not been turned on. There was no duvet on the bed, only blankets. I slept with my jacked on top of the blankets to keep warm.

The staff were quite young and helpful but no one consistent or at the front desk to talk to.

On my first day, I had put the "do not disturb" sign on my door because I didn't want the room cleaned while I was out. Upon my return, I saw the room had not only been cleaned but the shower door had been replaced. When I asked housekeeping about it, I was told they had been waiting for a plumber for some time. That was the day he came to perform some work & they could not turn him away.. While I understand it is difficult to get servicemen on your own schedule, it would have been good to have received a heads-up that the work might have been performed during my stay so I could have been prepared for that. Housekeeping was apologetic (& did do a very good job)..I am not annoyed, just surprised I wasn't forewarned. That being said, I would highly recommend this hotel. My overall experience was delightful.

No complaints. As mentioned, the bathroom was a bit tight but the only slight inconvenience was the small wash basin.

The chef for the breakfast was not friendly at all so much so that I walked out the place without eating the breakfast although I paid for it.Was not happy at all.

Kettle in room might need checking as wasnt working.
