Very nice, welcoming stay
Pros:

The breakfast each morning was wonderful. We appreciated the fresh coffee and the menu options. My son enjoyed the full Irish breakfast while I preferred just eggs and toast. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. We had a wonderful dinner at the pub that was attached to the restaurant was wonderful as well. We enjoyed waking up and looking out at the river each morning.

Cons:

I would have liked USB ports in the room. Also, it was quite warm when we were there and the way window open was from the top, making it difficult to feel a breeze at night.

A great place to get yourself around that side of Cork, busses, ferries and trains are accessible.
Pros:

All of the staff were amazing from signing in to getting myself fed and watered the morning after.

Cons:

The beds were slightly uncomfortable.

Wonderful stay
Pros:

Had a wonderful stay! Beautiful area overlooking the harbor. Spacious rooms and a wonderful breakfast. Friendly and accommodating staff.

Cons:

Not many restaurants in the area and no grocery stores. But was only there for two nights so it was no real issue for me.

It Depends …
Pros:

Nicely appointed and kept up well. Excellent bath towels. Very good breakfast.

Cons:

Comfort really depends on which room you get. My room facing the kitchen was very noisy early until late with sometimes bad smells. There is no breeze so the room becomes stiflingly hot, since it faces the afternoon sun. And of course the view is awful. Also it had one of the worst showers I’ve ever encountered - more like a hose than a shower. Some of the people who work there, including the manager, seem grim and unhappy about dealing with customers. And bring your own hand soap. I was very unhappy in this room.

Good stay
Pros:

Comfy bed and room size was good. Nice breakfast. Friendly staff. I'd definitely recommend the restaurant next door.

Cons:

Old toilet so the flush was not good. The room was warm. Not many TV channels available.

Pros:

Location was fabulous. Middle of the hill to walk up to the fortress Cathedral town and walk down to the veevy active Place Dalton.

Staying at the Bosun
Pros:

Good comfortable room. Carpark across the road. On bus route into Cork. Breakfast was included and was very good.

Cons:

Our room was on 4th floor and although there was a lift to the 3rd floor we did have to carry our cases up a short flight of stairs to the 4th floor. Check-in is strictly 3pm so don't arrive before then.
