I like the food.
AC sounds too much. Torn towel in use.
Just the outer structure and elevation
The staff and the amenities
Room was spacious and clean. Food quality was good.
Manager was not welcoming, should try to ask guests their needs are met.
Its a hidden gem in a city which has no other good property.
Courteous staff and great customer service
Room filled by a layer of dust..everything covered with dust.. cupboard was damage..small room size.. mattress was damage.. I have bad experience for this hotel..
Location and ambience
Internal finishes and housekeeping of rooms.
location
badly maintained
Location was good .
I had booked their biggest room so the size wasn’t an issue . Bed size was good . Electric kettle was provided .
For one , we were not provided with room heaters . Even on request I was simply told that we do not provide . Now this is quite strange . That place experiences cold . I was given the option of taking another quilt which I did . But that is not the same as having a room heater . Even the Mandakini resort run by MP tourism provides . The room therefore was very cold . It was a large room and a cold room . We should have opted for the smaller room , it might have been warmer maybe .
Then, in my opinion , in today’s day and age hotels need to be more Eco friendly and geared towards sustainable practices . Here the bathroom had a large range of disposable toiletries starting from the dental kit and comb to shampoo etc . Now maybe the management thinks that it is an added thing that they are providing but in my opinion this is all old fashioned today . Soap , shampoo and moisturiser are more than enough . Rest is all plastic waste !!!
The front desk also needs calling up twice for any request to be attended to ! Wonder why !
Since I try and avoid drinking from packaged water bottles , I requested for normal water which was provided . But after drinking two glasses of hot water , I noticed chlorine powder deposit in my glass and a good amount of that . Almost one third spoon . I was shocked !!!!’ I realised then that the sore throat that I had got was because of this chlorine that I was drinking . I sadly shifted to the packaged water but by then the damage had been done ! I am still not totally cured .
And most importantly- before booking please ensure that no wedding is happening on your stay dates . We could see that weddings take place regularly there and if your stay coincides with one , then you are bound to stay up half the night with all the band baaja baraat :) fortunately there was no wedding when we went .
Apart from the above , it’s a nice hotel with clean rooms with a nice garden and a good option for your stay at Chitrakoot !
There is nothing which I can mention truly what I liked, because they says it's river front but when I went in my balcony there was a generator room and unmaintained garden like jungle
