It was a pleasant stay but a stress
Pros:

It was clean, and we enjoyed the verandah.

Cons:

That they provided a kettle and no cups

It was noisy at night. The power cuts caused the room to be uncomfortably warm. There were grates on the windows, so we couldn’t open them.

Staff were not always available. This caused a lot of stress on the last morning. We asked them to organise a taxi to take us the airport, it was very early in the morning. The taxi didn’t appear and there was no staff there to support, despite them saying they’d be there.

Nice Hotel in a Busy Village
Pros:

Nicely decorated homestay with vibrant colors. Breakfast is served on your balcony or in the hallway. The property is a 5-minute walk from the Cliff Walk with all the restaurants, shops and stairways to the beach. We liked the Sree Janardhana Swamy temple and the daily prayers at the Papanasam Beach where you can wash your sins into the ocean.

Cons:

The town is busy with international tourists and the Cliff Walk is very busy with people. This, of course, is not a fault of Gypsy Walker.

Comfortable Stay close to Beach
Pros:

Breakfast was traditional food that we normally don't find in most restaurants and cafes, loved this about the property.
It was also close to the beach. Balcony was spacious and a good place to chill.

Cons:

The property had noisy guests who came back late in the night - made noise, banged doors extremely loudly.
Bathroom door was broken.

Peaceful and central location.
Pros:

The space was beautiful and clean! Away from the crowd but the beach was close by walking distance and the shops and restaurants were also close by. The staff were super helpful, and went above and beyond . They also offer a cooking class which served amazing kerala food!

Location and filtered water

Cons:

Dark room with view of garbage area attracting flies and other wild life with strong aromas — was nothing near as good as promoted on booking.com — nothing deluxe about our stay here — very disappointed. Air conditioning didn’t not work on the last day. Our balcony was overlooking bags of rubbish which smelled and continued to pile up for the whole stay

Petit déjeuner occidental ou indien sur demande

Cons:

Très difficile d'avoir de l'eau chaude
Faire couler au moins 20mn avant d'avoir de l'eau... pas très chaude
Heureusement il fait chaud et on peut s'en passer

Nice stay near to the beach
Pros:

Room was very clean with basic facilities available like kettle tea,coffee etc and geyser, ac, fan were working. Bed was comfortable and okay for 2 people. Filter water was avail

Cons:

There were lots of black ants around the room since our room was in the ground floor. Also receptionist was telling us to remove our shoes and enter the room everytime we are going out and coming in which was a bit uncomfortable.

Pros:

De ligging vlakbij de klif is !deaal. De hostel is leuk ingericht met een mooi gemeenschappelijk balkon. De kamer is sober.

Cons:

De badkamer was vies, slecht gepoetst met schimmel aan de wasbak. We kregen ook een rol wc-papier met nog 3 vellen op. De airco was betalend en de tuin waarop de kamer zou uitkijken was een werf..

Pros:

Our stay was great. For the price, location and breakfast it was all perfect. Room was a nice size with a terrace. Clean and cleaned whenever we needed. Breakfast was great. Food from Kerala, filling, masala chai was fab. Ended up extending our stay. Staff 10/10 really helpful and attentive.

The best place in Kerala.
Pros:

My friend and I spent two weeks in Kerala and this was by far our favorite homestay. It has a beautiful and relaxing rooftop. The beds were extremely comfortable. The staff was super helpful and approachable. And it seems to attract adventurous travelers.

Pros:

Rooms are clean. Location is good. Very near to the north cliff.

Cons:

No options for breakfast. They have day wise set breakfast menu. They don’t have power back up, so whenever there was a power cut it became pitch black.
