The epitome of cosy luxury
Pros:

It feels like the homy palace of your distant cousins and not at all like a hotel.
The owners are there and treat you with kindness, generosity and non imposing wisdom

Une parenthèse rare où l’élégance du lieu rencontre la chaleur humaine.
Pros:

Nous avons tellement apprécié notre séjour que nous avons finalement décidé de le prolonger d’une nuit supplémentaire , ce qui est probablement le plus beau compliment que l’on puisse faire à une maison.

Tout ici semble avoir été pensé avec justesse : la beauté du lieu, évidemment, avec cette atmosphère unique propre au Chettinad, mais aussi la qualité des repas, généreux et raffinés, le confort de la literie, irréprochable, et la gentillesse sincère de l’ensemble du personnel.

Et puis il y a Bernard et Michel. Deux hôtes qui donnent une âme à cette demeure. Leur accueil, leur disponibilité, leur élégance dans la manière de recevoir font toute la différence.

Il est rare de séjourner dans un endroit où chaque détail trouve sa place et où l’on a réellement le sentiment qu’aucune fausse note n’existe. Réussir un 10/10 sur tous les aspects relève presque de l’exception ; ici, c’est pourtant le cas.

Nous espérons revenir très vite et adressons à Bernard et Michel nos remerciements les plus chaleureux et amicaux pour ces moments précieux.

Exceptionnel...un paradis
Pros:

Un magnifique séjour...tout mais tout était là pour faire de ces 4 jours la plus belle étape de notre séjour de 2 mois en Inde
Rénovation splendide et de tŕès grande qualité d'un palais chettiar.Très très classe .Tous les espaces que ce soit les chambres,les salons,le restaurant les jardins ..la piscine montre un goût très sûr,la beauté la sérénite dominent.
Le personnel est plus que souriant et efficace.
Belle balade à vélo au petit matin, plein de belles choses à voir dans ce si beau Chettinad
Et bonheur supplémentaire..avoir pu partager quelques discussions avec les deux charmants proprietaires de ce havre de paix.

A grandiose beautifully renovated mansion, small boutique hotel with all modern facilities
Pros:

A royal treatment in every sense, authentic renovations of Chettinad mansion by two French architects with much love , delicious local and international food, impeccable service and plus if interested with private knowledgeable guide of the area of a rich and grandiose mansions and local crafts historical region of Tamil nadu( Chettinad region). Felt like a queen for their attentive service and at the same as I was treated like a family member Quite memorable.

I appreciated the kindness and the helpfulness of the staff, the elegant accomodation, the variety and the quality of the menu proposed for dinner, etc. But most of all I felt that staying in one of Chettinad's beautiful palaces made my visit to the region complete and worthwhile.
Saratha Vilas is not only a luxurious hotel... It is a full experience that I wholeheartedly recommend (as it was recommended to me).

Ich gebe eigentlich nie eine 10 von 10, aber ich war wirklich von diesem Hotel begeistert. Wunderschöne und gemütliche Zimmer. Einen sehr netten Hotelbesitzer und das Personal war auch extrem freundlich. Schöne Einrichtung, so dass das Hotel selbst schon fast eine Attraktion ist. Gutes Frühstück und Abendessen.

Cons:

Nichts was einen negativen Einfluss auf meinen Aufenthalt hatte.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay!
Pros:

Absolutely fantastic place to stay! A travel worth on its own .The historic palace has been turned into a lovely hotel with incredible sensitivity by the owners. The team made us feel home from the first moment with its great friendliness. The architecture tour with Nachi exploring the nearby historic buildings was super interesting, he is such a great guide. Thanks to everyone for these two wonderful days.
