施設が綺麗だった。

Cons:

夜遅くまでイベントがあり、寝る時間にも関わらずDJによる過剰な音楽が鳴り響いた。音は廊下を通り抜け、私の部屋まで重低音が鳴り響き、寝れず非常に不快であった。
またホテルはコンビニまでとおく、飲み物等はかなり歩かないとゲットできない。

施設はよかったが、正直サービス含め最悪の体験だった。今後とまるかたはイベントの有無及び５階はやめた方が良いと思う。

Solo op en top.
Pros:

Het is een prachtig gebouw, heel sfeervol ingericht. Heerlijk ontbijt. Mooie ruime, lichte kamers. Personeel zoooo vriendelijk. Schoon, netjes en verzorgd. Centraal gelegen.

Cons:

Het is er zooooo gehorig helaas. Maar ondanks dat hebben we een heel aangenaam verblijf gehad.

A Gem of a Hotel
Pros:

The buffet breakfast was fabulous. Three different soups to have, eggs of your choice, 2 rice 5 mains and lots of vegetables to make salads. There was also a large selection of pastries and deserts to have with your tea and coffee. We also ate in the restaurant which offered a wide range of dishes at good prices when compared to offerings outside the hotels.. the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful whenever you needed anything. The hotel also included complimentary afternoon tea which was also very tasty. A gem of a hotel..

Cons:

That we had to leave. We could have stayed another couple of days but our next hotel and onward train journey had already been booked.

Pros:

De locatie, vanaf het station is het 5 minuten rijden.
De complimentary afternoon tea iedere dag

Cons:

Het is te duur. Het restaurant (in een veel te grote, ongezellige zaal) kent een beperkte kaart en niet alles wat op de kaart staat was beschikbaar. Het ontbijt is uitgebreid maar vnl Aziatisch met koffie die lang op staat en dus niet te drinken is.
Wij sliepen in kamers op de begane grond en die waren gehorig; veel geluiden van de straat ( en de kamer ernaast).
Wij hadden een kopje gebroken in de kamer en dat moesten we betalen. Voor het bedrag dat we voor de 2 overnachtingen in 2 kamers hebben betaald, mag je toch verwachten dat zoiets bij de prijs is inbegrepen.

Pros:

De kamer was zeer groot, mooi en schoon. We kregen een gratis upgrade naar een executive room. Het ontbijt was enorm gevarieerd. Er was een zwembad maar geen gebruik van gemaakt.

Perfect hotel

Malahaya hotel is the Best of the Best
Pros:

I have stayed in multiple hundreds or even thousands of hotels in Asia, Mahalaya rates in the top 10. Our stay was nothing short of brilliant. Everything about this hotel we liked.

The relaxed atmosphere.
The colonial architecture and decor.
The floor tiles were amazing.
The staff were more than brilliant.
Facilities top class.
They decorated the hotel with, by my estimate, $40,000 worth of Christmas decorations and the hotel played soft Christmas carols as background music. You could not help but find yourself humming along.

Cons:

If I had to niggle about something, breakfast never really catered for a western style breakfast and the egg station struggled to produce quality cooked eggs of any type. I'm adventurous with food, having eaten everything from ducks tongues to scorpians on crackers, but breakfast for me is a time for comfort food, which was never quite delivered.
