Kithal Ella Station Resort

Kithal Ella Station Resort is located right next to Kithal Ella railway station and is also about a 30-minute walk to Ella along the railway tracks. It’s a perfect place for couples or anyone who wants to stay somewhere peaceful away from the busy town of Ella. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a nice bed and a clean bathroom with warm and hot water. The view from the room is amazing – you can see Ella Rock and the railway line, which makes the place very special.

The food was also delicious. We had the rice and curry dinner and it was incredibly tasty. We also tried the famous Sri Lankan kottu, and honestly it was one of the best kottu we had in Sri Lanka. the resort is very close to Ella Rock, and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing with the sounds of birds and nature all around. It’s a great place to relax peacefully.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The Wi-Fi speed was good, and since I had to do some online work, it really helped a lot. overall, this is a beautiful place surrounded by green nature, with clean rooms and a peaceful environment. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Ella who wants a quiet and relaxing stay.

I chose Kithal Ella Station Resort, and honestly, it was an amazing place with a beautiful view. The location is great, and the railway station is within walking distance.
The food was very tasty, and the chef prepared everything perfectly. We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed our time there. Ella Rock is very close to the property, and there is also a small waterfall nearby where we enjoyed a refreshing waterfall bath. The view is stunning, and the place is very calm, peaceful, and relaxing. The room was very clean, the bathroom was excellent, and all the room facilities were very comfortable.

Breakfast was arranged in the room with a beautiful view. It was a wonderful experience having breakfast while watching the train pass by. The manager ( owner Ayesh ) were very supportive and even helped us arrange our train ride, which became a memorable experience for us.

I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Ella. The price we paid was very reasonable, and the service was excellent.

Das Personal war unglaublich nett und hat den Aufenthalt für uns ausgemacht. Der offene Bereich zum Frühstück hat eine tolle Aussicht und das Essen (Frühstück und Abendessen) waren unglaublich lecker. Ganz in der Nähe befindet sich außerdem ein schöner Wasserfall. Man muss allerdings kurz über die Gleise laufen, was bei den Einheimischen aber Gang und gebe ist. Wenn man etwas mutig ist, dann kann man dort oben die Füße im Wasser baumeln lassen.

Kithal Ella was heeeerlijk. Prachtige locatie, mooie wandeling over het spoor naar Ella. Maar vooral ook de mannen die er werken, ze zijn super lief & willen overal mee helpen. Ontbijt was lekker & meer dan genoeg. Het diner gaven we 1,5 uur van te voren door, waardoor we niet hoefden te wachten. Ook dat was heerlijk. We hebben er een mega fijne tijd gehad. Zeker aan te bevelen

Host was so lovely and accommodating, organising a packed breakfast when we had an early check out, and even organised a tuk tuk into town.
Great location next to the train station and close proximity to start of the Ella Rock trail.

Staff is nice. Delicious breakfast and dinner. You hop off the train and the villa is right in front of you so you don’t have to be worried about any transportation. They can arrange you a tuk tuk ride to the 9 Arch back/forth for a reasonable price. We had great time, totally worth the money and I recommend the place.

Be careful in booking this location is way out of town .there are much better options in town would not tay again

We loved the location, outside of the busy Ella area, but still walking distance (30 minutes on the railway track). Very close to Ella Rock.
The staff are super friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Dilshan for making us breakfast to go and helping us out with our TukTuk.
I would definitely recommend.
