I wanted one room for a family (two parents, two teenagers) for one night. I booked through booking.com and the only options I was given were a deluxe room for three and a double room for two, which I booked. When we arrived, we found the deluxe room had two separate bedrooms, each with a large double bed, ie perfect for the four of us. There was even a dining table in the room with five chairs around it! I therefore feel I was forced/tricked into booking two rooms for the hotel’s maximum gain during high season. Also, weirdy, the hotel made up the double room for one person, ie put one single duvet on the double bed. What 4-person family wants to be split 3 and 1 during a hotel stay?!? We dragged a duvet from the deluxe room to the double room so that the kids could both stay there. The hotel is quite nice, nothing special; main advantage is its close proximity to the gondola. I was even charged a day’s parking; that was unnecessary and not mentioned at the time of booking.
