Disappointing Stay. Bad service by Booking.com
Pros:

HOTEL
Front desk area was smelling of pee.
Rooms were musty smelling. It was unbearable.
The ramp leading to lift (to go to the first floor restaurant) was slippery
The commode was brown colour along the toilet seat
The curtains haven't been washed in a while.

BOOKING.COM
Booking.com did not clarify my query wrt my booking. Which is also unacceptable.
I had while booking picked 1 twin occupancy and from pull down menu had selected 3 rooms including breakfast. 6 of us were to visit Shantiniketan.
But the booking received by email stated that I had booked 1 double occupancy and 2 rooms of single occupancy when * had paid ₹6150*3 as total amount.
How can double and single occupancy cost the same?!

I had totally missed noticing this discrepancy.
Then, 2 friends dropped out.
I wanted to cancel one room and keep only 2. That's when I called Creek and was told that it was actually 1 double occupancy and 2 single occupancy.
I wrote to customer service on the App.no response.
So the change was NOT made.

When we arrived there, 3 rooms that were blocked for us had double occupancy!!!
We had one extra room.

VERY disappointed with Booking.com for not responding in a timely manner.
Now I have to absorb the cost of 1 room and compensate the 2 friends who had decided not to come.

This is very WRONG of Booking.com

Pros:

Clean, nice rooms, pool was very nice and the lawn though it was too hot and humid to enjoy it.

Cons:

Though not very old, some of the fittings, AC remote being fixed etc. felt a bit old.

Le restaurant. L'amabilité des serveurs.
Personnel très compétant.

Cons:

Une de nos chambres donnait sur la "campagne " (terrain vague rempli de crasses) et la nuit on entendait des meutes de chien et de la musique sonore. Le double vitrage serait le bienvenu.
