Beeing by the beach
Having a rat in my room .theh said they will sort out the problem as they will renovate the wodden cabins
I did not have breakfast. I liked the location of the property as it is close to the beach. The view from the Wooden huts was beautiful - a Lovely beach with rarely any people on it. The staff were Very friendly and helpful. They supplied ample bottles of water every day which was very helpful as it meant I didn't have to carry heavy bottles of water from the town every day.
There were only a few wooden hut type rooms available with sea view and these were very Expensive - very overpriced for the quality of the rooms. But they were the only rooms with a sea view. The rooms were old and dilapidated and there were partly built huts underneath them. The skirting boards and bathroom fixtures were in very old poor condition, allowing insects and cockroaches in. The rooms did not feel clean even after cleaning and there were insects in both of the rooms I used - one even on my bed as I sat on it reading. I reported this to Management but they said there was nothing they could do about that. There were numerous power cuts often lasting for hours. The Wifi would switch off for periods of time too. The second room I moved to was large but again, in poor condition and had no furniture in it apart from a bed, bedside table, wardrobe and suitcase holder. This meant there was nowhere to put my cosmetics, hair things etc. I asked twice for an additional table but my request was ignored. Some mornings, the water from the tap came out brown. I reported this too but was told this was usual and would improve during the day
Location is definitely good but you have to ask the housekeeper to clean the room daily.
Oasis cafe which is a part of the woodpegger. Very limited options. Room with breakfast was not worth it.
Lovely place
Close to beach and restaurant.
The Gardener was fantastic.
I booked three nights at Woodpegger By The Beach hoping for a relaxing stay in Mandrem, but it turned out to be a complete nightmare. The room I was given was literally un-lockable. When I immediately brought this to the staff's attention, I was told, "Don't worry, it will be fixed in just a moment."
One hour later, I returned to the room. Nothing had been done. I went back to reception to ask why, and they told me the handyman was on his lunch break. Another hour and a half passed (2.5 hours total of waiting with my belongings unsecured). When I went to reception again to demand an update, I was hit with the most pathetic excuse I have ever heard: the mechanic’s motorcycle had broken down, and there was too much traffic.
Eventually, the guy from reception came to "fix" it himself. He only managed a temporary bodge job, and the lock still felt flimsy. I went back to the reception to speak to the ladies there to explain it wasn't actually fixed. They just shrugged it off and said they would call me when it was done. Spoiler alert: they never called
My door stayed unlocked during tree days. Everyday, same story.
The sheer arrogance and unreliability of the staff here is shocking. You cannot trust a single promise they make, and communication is impossible.
The ONLY positive thing I can say about this terrible place is that it is close to the beach. Also, the gardener was absolutely fantastic—always saying hello, good morning, and stopping for a chat. He was the only person working there with any human decency. You should hire more people like him and fire the useless lot in the reception.
Do yourself a favor and find literally anywhere else to stay in Mandrem.
So close to the beach and little town, nice restaurant on the beach, great breakfast.
Paper thin walls between the rooms/huts, but okay when other guests are mindful of each other.
Na did not have breakfast
The lighting in the room was very harsh. The room was quite basic.
Dejligt smukt gammelt træhus - med udsigt til strand og hav.
I loved the wooden cabin that you can hear the sound of the sea while falling asleep
I missed a fridge.
It was displayed in the photos, but coudn't be provided during my 17 day stay
Сначала заселили очень плохой номер, совсем не тот, что я бронировала.
It was located on the beach
Lack of facilities, all shampoo, handwash empty at all times and never refilled. No toilet roll, I had to walk to reception to ask for toilet roll and then still didn’t get it. On the notice it says 2 bottles of water is given daily, it was not I had to ask for water. I had a problem with my hot water, only cold coming out and I asked if they could sort it out… it was not… I stayed at hotel for one week at a higher price for India!
I took sheets a pillow cases off to hunt for bedding to be changed to find a bed and pillows with no protectors and they were absolutely disgusting, never been cleaned, they were cleaner than a squat. I was mortified that I had slept in this for one week!!! Disgraceful. Never have I experienced this before.
Such a shame that this hotel is like this.

Very close to beach. Private beach access
No room service option. Either u need to call on mobile or go to reception for any request

First of all there was nothing named woodpegger!!
It was " oasis"
They have fraudulently positioned themselves at booking.com.
They have shared amenities of other property. There is no restaurant, no swimming pool, no room service, no parking at site.
So watch it prior booking.
I have to request them for two days then they recharged TV.
Staff is good but management/owner is gone case.
In the same premises they are running two -three property name. I don't understand how booking.com allow all this.
Most horrible experience was of 31/12 evening experience!!
People visit Goa for celebration on new year eve! And expect a lot of fun, good food etc.
Firstly the property named " Oasis" collected " heavy amount" on the name of entry and evening programme. We happily paid as it's a normal practice at Goa. We collected our coupons and got seated expecting a wonderful evening. Then disaster begins one by one! " Wahiyat drinks and cocktail"!!! Horrible and overpriced starters ( ten small pieces of tofu rs600/-)!! Pathetic main course ( we choosed Biryani! But God only knows what was that!!! I request never make that ever and if at all they make call that " worse Chicken curry mixed pathetic quality rice"
Anyways!
Worse DJ! The chaps were playing their own favourite music under influence of liquor ( only the DJ and people/ family of management were seemed to be enjoying )
The restaurant was hardly crowded ( except management people and their friends, space was empty )
Ofcourse the bearers were good and were very polite.
But it was not at all " Goa typical 31st gathering "
Somehow we tolerated for sometime then we shifted to adjacent " riverside restaurant" which is truly amazing in all regards.
So moral of the story " never book this property if you respect your hard earned money"
