We booked this accommodation last minute and I have to say it is excellent. The accommodation although not 5 star as it's not a 5 star hotel was clean warm and the beds comfy. The staff were really friendly and it was amazing value. We paid for inclusive breakfast as we were going skiing and each morning they had a lovely buffet breakfast and they even had a salad bar along with various cheeses and a selection of bread so you could make your own pack lunches! As the food was so good we paid for the evening meal which was prepared in the restaurant at 7:30 every evening. A lovely different starter every evening and then a set cooked meal which was different every night and typical French cuisine including fondue one night, with a pudding and wine by the carafe that you poured yourself from the wine machine! This is excellent accommodation for people skiing or walking I can highly recommend.
Nothing
The Nature around the village was Excellent!
It took really long long time to get the room. The room itsellesi was little and primitive. At breakfast, many dishes were finished, although there was still an hour left for breakfast. All the tables in the canteen were untidy and none of the staff even tried to clean the tables. There were a lot of flies in the canteen that flew around and landed on our skin and food. A very unpleasant and unhygienic experience this breakfast.
Big free parking
Poor quality, room very small with bad smell from the bathroom, no Wi-Fi, no card reader for payment and the location is not in Chamonix it’s so far away.
Nice, large sitting area. Good breakfast. Good views, including from the bedroom. Adequate value for money.
Size of the bedroom was disappointing. You should note that the rooms are NOT like hotel rooms, more like hostel rooms. They are small, quite depressing but adequately clean. Also, the wifi does not work in the bedrooms - at least not in our bedroom - and in the restaurant. Overall, this accommodation seems more catered to French-speaking people wanting a basic mountain experience than foreign tourists wanting a proper hotel....but this is reflected in the price.
