Do not recommend booking over booking.com

It was clean, staff was ok

Cons:

I booked a room after looking at the pictures here on booking.com but the room was entirely different. They showed all the other rooms but nothing was as it was supposed to be. They said booking.com picks the room itself and they have no authority over it. Either it was booking.com’s fault or it was Tijara. After paying so much for the room and meals I didn’t get what i paid for.

Great escape, great views, great staff, service, pool and bar. Very average food.
Pros:

This is a great place for a short break, not too far from NCR. The property was big enough to not feel crowded even while running at full capacity on the weekend I visited. The place feels very safe, and the staff is very courteous and polite. The room was a great size, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the ambiance was generally quite lovely.
The bar and pool are great spots to spend some time and catch up with friends. The cocktails at the bar were super well-made!

Cons:

A few issues significantly impacted our stay and warrant attention from management:

Bathroom layout (Tope Mahal room): The bathroom juts into the room right next to the bed, with an incomplete wall leaving a ~2-foot gap at the ceiling and no exhaust fan. Light, noise, and smells from the bathroom flow directly into the room. This is new construction — making this design choice all the more baffling.

Food & transparency: On Friday, despite ordering à la carte, we were limited to buffet items due to full capacity. On Saturday, only a buffet was offered — again unmentioned at booking. If buffet-only is the policy on certain days, guests deserve to know this upfront. The food itself was palatable but unremarkable.

Feedback handling: After Saturday dinner, I submitted a feedback form noting average food quality. The next morning, a server asked me to elaborate, apologized, and mentioned that we would have tried to fix things had I flagged them during dinner. Following this conversation, he brought the same form to me and requested that I ‘fix’ it. At no point did I say that I have changed my mind about the feedback and said that the feedback still holds and that I haven’t changed my opinion. This was followed by two other people asking me to explain the feedback and wondering if I would consider changing it.

Note to management – If I knew my feedback would lead to this much discussion, I might not have filled that form. It’s a disappointing look when you ask for feedback and then expect a person to change their response just because you’ve acknowledged it. This is not a comment on the staff

MOST MEMORABLE ANNIVERSARY!!!!!
Pros:

We had booked 3 rooms for ourself & family for 2 days to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary on 25th DECEMBER. Our parents & our daughter was with us to make the occasion a special one. We had come with an idea of going back with lot of memories but I have to say that we came back with lot more than just memories. Our whole stay was so good, pleasant & refreshing that we cannot explain it in just words. A special mention to all the support staff who guided us & helped us navigate our way to various places within the fort. The level of cleanliness in the fort complex was exceptional. The kind of attention we received while having our meals was also overwhelming. The vintage car ride stole the show! I am truly happy that we decided to celebrate our milestone of successfully completing 20 years of marriage by spending quality time with family in such lush green, clean, serene location. Thank you very much!!!!! Actually, I can't thank you enough for the kind of hospitality we enjoyed throughout our stay. :)
