I stayed for 2 nights at AGC Hotel, Aurangabad with my family and my brother’s family—we booked two family rooms expecting a comfortable and hygienic experience. What we got instead was a shocking, below-par stay that’s not even worthy of a 2-star rating, let alone the 4 stars falsely shown on Booking.com.
Let me break down the reality:
Misleading 4-Star Rating – Feels Like a Scam: The hotel’s 4-star rating is a complete misrepresentation. Judging by the infrastructure, cleanliness, service, and amenities, this place would struggle to qualify as a budget lodge. It seems the rating is boosted artificially—possibly based on the number of marriage events they host, not on actual stay quality. The hotel is loud, chaotic during weddings, and not designed for peaceful family stays. Booking.com should immediately re-evaluate their rating.
Dirty, Disgusting Rooms & Beds: The rooms were in terrible condition:
· Blankets and bedsheets were filthy—all 3 beds in our room had disgusting marks, some deeply hidden under the folds as if intentionally tucked in to hide them.
· When I asked for clean blankets, housekeeping said, “Sir, small mark hi to hai, hota hai” — shocking to hear in a so-called 4-star hotel.
· I was shown 2 other rooms, and they were equally dirty—even the mattress covers and mattresses were stained, torn, and unhygienic.
· My wife had to remove hair strands from pillows and blankets, and my kids couldn’t sleep comfortably.
Pathetic Bathrooms:
· No partition between shower and toilet. Water spreads everywhere.
· Mug and bucket were filthy.
· Shower area had visible dirt and grime.
· Bathroom vents were disgusting (pictures attached).
· The bathroom mat and even the doors were stained and poorly maintained.
· Paint was flaking off the walls due to water leakage and dampness, with visible bubbling.

Room and the the beds were not clean. More hover it's not a hotel it's. Kind of an hostel. It's nit recommended for family.
We (2 white British women) stayed for one night before an early flight.
Check-in was fine and reception staff were pleasant, however:
The kettle in my room had not been emptied or cleaned in some time and I was almost sick from the smell of the liquid inside when I opened it.
The rooms were not particularly clean and had ashtrays- I had not seen a hotel room that allows smoking in around 20 years!
The menus in the rooms were grubby and old and didn't state particular times meals would be available at. As we had to leave around 4:30am for an early flight we went to the dining room about 6:30pm to allow us an early night. The waiter took our order then subsequently said dinner was not served until later, only snacks were available (why didn't he clarify that BEFORE accepting our order?!). I then tried to order pizza from the snacks list but that wasn't available either. We eventually got some paneer, along with the most disgusting lime soda I have ever tasted. But the main issue was the waiter's behaviour - he stood right next to our table and stared at us the whole time, leaving us feeling very uncomfortable.
I felt so distressed by his behaviour and what he might do next I couldn't sleep that night and was so relieved to get away the next morning. Ladies, please be aware.
