Excellent stay, cool people, would go again!
Pros:

I stayed at Casa Mara for a week. The property is on a side street, insulating it from traffic noise along major routes through SICAP Amitié 3. Just out the front door are small shops for food, souvenirs and home goods. If available, ask for one of the second floor rooms with private interior courtyard porches which come with a table and two-seater couch. The property is clean, well-staffed, with a courtyard pool, event seating and a lobby living room on the first floor and a full bar and restaurant on the top (third) floor where a wide variety of salads, tapas, bowls, burgers and full entrées are available. The property is a 10-20min walk to Point E and Corniche West/Fann neighborhoods, close to CBAO ATMs and Auchans, and an easy spot for Yango pickups to Almaides, Plateau and the Gorée Island ferry.

When I checked in, I was already a day into being sick from a stomach bug. I could not have asked for a better place to recover. The staff were extremely understanding and super helpful. By day 3, the restaurant crew was already joking if I wanted "the usual" of plain white rice and grilled chicken as I put myself back together. 10/10 would go back again.

Also: they have Kalao beer! If you want a real Senegal experience, make sure to order one!

Bon sejour dans l’ensemble

Pros:

Très bel hôtel avec beaucoup de charme et très atypique. Il est encore plus beau en réel que sur les photos. Les chambres étaient très propres et l'établissement également. L'équipe est très gentille, réactive, à l'écoute et répond aux sollicitations. Merci à eux tous.

Pros:

I expected a bit more from this hotel. The room and overall facilities were decent, but the breakfast was disappointing. The selection was limited, the food was often cold, and the coffee was only lukewarm. The breakfast quality and variety were also inconsistent from day to day.
On a positive note, the reception staff were friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist with any questions or requests I had during my stay.

Un havre de paix en plein Dakar
Pros:

Superbe hôtel en plein cœur de Dakar, notre logement était très spacieux et les lits ultras confortables! Le petit déjeuner était superbe et le personnel est vraiment charmant. On recommande, vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés! Piscine très agréable aussi. Le restaurant en roof-top est excellent, le personnel est formidable. Merci pour l'accueil!
