Activities to do.
I recently stayed at this 4-star hotel, but honestly, it felt like they were charging and behaving like a 5-star property — without delivering 5-star service.
The room rates and especially the food prices were extremely high, comparable to a luxury 5-star hotel. However, the food taste was just average — nothing exceptional to justify those prices. Paying premium rates for “okay” food is very disappointing.
Basic service was also lacking. We had to ask for toilet paper, and it was not provided the same day. Only after requesting again on the second day did they give it to us. This is a very basic necessity, and such things should be handled without guests having to repeatedly ask.
The staff communication was rude and unprofessional. They did not seem interested in helping or ensuring guests were comfortable. It felt like customer service was not a priority at all.
The only positive aspects were the location and the activities offered — those were genuinely good. But good location alone cannot compensate for poor service and overpricing.
Overall, this is a 4-star hotel charging and acting like a 5-star one, but with service that does not even meet proper 4-star standards. I would not recommend it unless they seriously improve their service quality and staff attitude.
Scenery was good.
Beautiful and a very large property. Very green and well maintained - great choice for families or friends. Staff is friendly and the food is good
Everything was nice. If you have elderly with you, get the rooms on the ground level and not the ones facing river, as one needs to climb a lot of stairs
Le restaurant était bon.
Odeur de moisi dans la chambre. Les bâtiments de l'hôtel sont vieux. Présence d'ordures aux abords de l'hôtel. Nous avions pris une chambre avec vue sur rivière mais on avait plutôt vue sur la route. Piscine vieillotte. Personnel qui n'est pas réactif. Nous avons demandé des serviettes à plusieurs reprises et on nous les a apportées tardivement. Mauvais rapport qualité prix. La rivière n'est pas très belle. Ne vous attendez pas à de beaux paysages.
Though the property was huge and beautiful.
They lacked service. There was hardly any staff present to guide or help and the one's available were also of no good. Though the staff the restaurant was good. The spa services we took were not worth the money and pretty inexperienced staff there.
Vast property with lot of open space.
Vegetarian Food menu was limited in the restaurant. Food prices were very high.

I recently stayed at U Rivergate, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. Here’s my take on the stay and the food:
Stay:
The hotel itself is very comfortable, with well-maintained rooms and a relaxing atmosphere. The bed was cozy, and the room was spotless, offering all the necessary amenities like a mini fridge, coffee machine, and high-speed Wi-Fi. The bathroom was spacious, and I appreciated the high-quality toiletries. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with any request. The location was also convenient, with easy access to local attractions, which made it a great spot for both business and leisure.
Food:
I had the pleasure of dining at the hotel restaurant during my stay, and I must say, the food was delightful. The breakfast buffet offered a wide selection of fresh fruits, pastries, hot dishes, and made-to-order options. I especially loved the freshly brewed coffee and the assortment of local dishes available. The flavors were well-balanced, and the presentation was spot-on. The service at the restaurant was excellent, with the waitstaff being friendly and knowledgeable about the menu.
Overall:
If you’re looking for a comfortable stay with good food, this hotel is definitely a solid choice. While there’s always room for improvement, especially with some more variety in the dinner menu, I had a very positive experience overall. I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area, whether for business or a relaxing weekend getaway.

V booked for three they shifted to two people booking and most oft he time food was ok ok ....the bakery items were not fresh 😢 i suffered severe stomach infection after returning from there
