Third time I have stayed at Golaghat Gymkhana and always have a pleasant stay
Pros:

Homely place in the middle of the town

Cons:

During the stay there was constant chanting throughout the night from a religious group. Unfortunately the hotel could not intervene
At breakfast always confusion when I ask for a simple to make black coffee

I really enjoyed the stay at Golaghat Gymkhana and would love to visit it once again.
Pros:

Loved the architecture, ambience, staff behaviour and the overall feeling.

Cons:

The manager fulfilled his duties well but he can correct his demeanour and have a more friendly approach towards customers. He had a stern look.

Okay for a couple of days stay
Pros:

They had a room heater

Good location, pleasant surroundings, but make sure you get a room opposite the pool.
Pros:

The common spaces were well maintained, and there was a nice common sitting room outside our room. Staff were very helpful. The complimentary breakfast was served in-room, with just a couple of options. Quality was OK, only instant coffee; espresso is a paid extra! The hotel is in a secluded street, so it is a very peaceful and pleasant place.

Cons:

The room was a bit cramped and the furniture and fittings were antique, but not in a good way. We were put in a room behind the restaurant, and this was basically the back side of the hotel, with no way to get fresh air or a good view. Rooms on the other side opposite the swimming pool seem to be much better placed and would be great value.

Booking.com needs to verify facilities before offering online.
Pros:

Breakfast was just OK with not much choice. Could not provide Coffee with BF.

Cons:

Room Nos 105,106 & 107 are better where I stayed earlier but these are not offered on booking.com.

Most hotels provide poor rooms / cheaper rooms with less facilities on booking.com.
